Windows 10 is out just in time for our tenth episode so let's talk about it! We also have more updates on Splatoon, Rocket League, and Halo 5: Guardians. And remember the Ouya? Remember Dragon Quest? Remember shorter podcasts?

Vinny always goes long.

Are they really going to get a guest going forward? Jeff B needs to stay!

The idea was always to have a rotating fourth chair, with Bakalar filling in as the "regular guest". That plan probably hasn't changed, but now they actually have a guest lined up for the next episode. Seems like Vinny generally wants to avoid five people on the podcast.

It's not showing up under PocketCast for me. I need it!

Yeah, PocketCast has problems with the GB feed(s) at the moment. The RSS feed has been updated, but it doesn't show up on PocketCast. I just listened to it from the site as a backup.

There's a thread about it on the GB forums

Jeff B:"Incognito mode does nothing!"

Vinny:"Really?...I need to go."

lol

sandboxie that shit

or virtualbox an old windows image, exit don't save state, reload original state every time

I mean I guess you could do that if you were paranoid

The Internet still knows you were there tho

Yeah, just makes me sad. I love how when Vinny mentioned the guest for next week and Jeff was like "Wait, what?" Oh well, he will be back(alar)

Add the premium beastcast feed if you're a premium member. Normal beastcast feed doesn't work here, premium does. This is what you need to type into the app. PocketCasts is struggling with the GB feeds at the moment and it's affecting people differently.

Thanks for the hot tip, for anybody else struggling there was a mistake for the Beastcast link, the actual link is "https://YourGBUsername:GBPassword@www.giantbomb.com/podcast-xml/beastcast-premium/"

Thanks, guys.

Austin seems fine but considering Giant Bomb is mostly a video site, I was expecting him to start some features like Dan has done for GBWest

That Cradle game sounds like something I'd be down for. They haven't steered me wrong with Her Story and Contradiction, so I'm expecting good things.

really? I don't get that from him at all.
one choice quote for me was him defending himself for not hating pewdiepie that went sorta like "and people were writing me about how pewdipie was not inline with my aesthetic tastes.."
He has some good stuff to say, it's just how he goes more often than not that I wish he'd dial down a notch

I'm also on the Austin is a bit, I dunno, superfluous in everything he does?

That doesn't mean I don't like him. Alex seems angry and bitter, but I still like him. Vinny is simple, but I still like him.

Love the 'cast.

Especially after 10 eps, he seems.. kinda like a tryhard
I'm not blacklisting him or anything yet, but he could be way less smarmy

I see what you did there :p

Seriously though, Austin is PhD student - everything he does is gonna be a bit superfluous. He's awesome imo

He's an academic after all.

I think he's a perfect fit in the overall Giant Bomb staff. He's exactly who they needed after Patrick left and balances out Dan too. I think he's a step above Patrick in writing skills and critical thinking too.

I found Patrick more of a personality, especially when with the rest of the guys.

I know it's early to be judging him but at the moment I can only really go on my initial impressions of Austin and I find him a bit dull, don't really care for the constant reminders that he's an academic and while there is certainly a place for his articles, I'm not particularly interested in reading them.
