Looks pretty amazing.

You know, aside from Gosling's goatee and Evans' moustache. What were they thinking, lol.

Netflix needs to keep throwing money at the Russos, and just give them cart blanche to do whatever they want. I'm totally in for this movie. Extraction was amazing. I expect nothing less from this film.

Extraction was really good and still great on rewatches.

I'm a fan of the books in a 'this is stupid and fun' way (although I haven't read the first one), but this doesn't look like it captures any of what makes them enjoyable. As silly as the action sequences are in the books, they still have purpose and something at stake, but what they've shown so far doesn't convey anything at all except "people shoot and things explode." And then, based on what they've shown, the shooting and exploding doesn't seem like it's done well. And (again, from what they've shown), it doesn't look like the Russos have improved on shot composition and lighting at all since the MCU.

I will watch it right away, but I'm not confident it will be good at all.

Edit: I had been hoping that Chris Evans was going to play Zack Hightower, but oh well.

Watched this movie this morning and enjoyed it. Thought it was a lot of great action pieces and pretty interesting. The bad guy is so over the top it is great.

Action scenes are top notch.

Story has been done many times before but the high production values and every actor bringing their A game to the role makes it a great action film.

Found this boring. So much drone footage! Turned it off after 45 minutes, and I got through Red Notice!!! It is like a boy band version of a Bond movie. Not for me.

Easily the best Netflix movie yet. This absolutely hit my action sweet spot, really entertaining movie, tho I do have to agree I wish a more talented actor had been cast as Carmichael.

Normally I'm like, hey everyone has different opinions, but calling this movie boring is really out there, like mutant brain stuff. And, I did like the sweeping drone shots, I found them dynamic and cool and I don't think it was overused.

Well, that's one way to completely shit on the source material, I suppose.

I've read the books from the start and this was not The Gray Man.

Hot garbage from start to finish.

I loved the movie, really good action scenes. I just wish Netflix would spend more money on sound production, it was lacklustre both at the cinemas and on my home system.

Whaaa I feel like some of you watched an entirely different movie. But, I never read the book, so I get that vibe.

I get it, I really do, in that moving from one medium to another, changes have to be made. But the wholesale changes made to this adaptation makes it 'The Gray Man' in name only, and I really don't see why this has to have the association, you may as well given it a completely new identity. Super Assassin #46374 goes against the corrupt agency, blah, blah;blah.

..and this absurd spectacle of some impish, 5ft 3, 120lb waif, kicking the shit out of a 220lb, 6ft 2 bad guy, is just getting old.

Wait.....
You have a problem with Ana De Armas fighting and struggling with one guy but are perfectly fine with Ryan Gosling kill 25+ guys like he's in God mode?

People having a problem with women in action roles should really avoid Interceptor on Netflix haha

Oh no, why isn't she in the kitchen making sandwiches for her husband? :messenger_winking_tongue:

Well clearly one scenario is dumb, the other even dumber.

I'll leave it to you to decide which is which. :messenger_beaming:

Please...I won't settle for anything less than Caesar salad wrap & nice cold beer brought to me.😉

I liked it, but Gosling was terrible for the part. He was so bad my wife stopped breathing during his shirtless scene, purely as a disgust reaction I'm sure :p

It was escessive action though. The whole prague battle got so I sane, they eventually forgot who was even participating.

Fiuuuuuuck I wanna tour Europe now, you can drive to every capital in like an hour! :p

Coming off of The Terminal List this movie was the polar opposite in attitude.

Don't shit on Interceptor it was a great 80's style cheesy action movie. Elsa has the physique to at least pretend she can beat up a 6'5 275 brute :p

From a story standpoint the movie is nothing special, but the action was mostly top-notch and kept me glued to the screen. The Prague action sequence in particular was pretty damn amazing - it was like 20 minutes of pure adrenaline.
But there are also scenes that made me roll my eyes, like when Ana de Armas was cosplaying as the Team Fortress 2 Demoman, firing rockets and grenades with expert precision while running in a nearly straight line towards the enemy encampment, and somehow avoiding all gunfire. She literally jukes tracer rounds lmao

There's a similar sequence of events (an assault on a highly defended enemy encampment) in The Terminal List that does it 1000x better and more believable. No one jukes tracer rounds while hip-firing RPGs in that one!
