John Harker
Definitely doesn't make things up as he goes along.
Woohoo! My first new thread.
Anyway, so I'm tinkering around with Wind Waker again (mainly cause everyone keeps talking about it) and I've realized how much I detest fetch-quests. Isnt it enough that I have to travel the whole damn world just to get your maps, I then gotta go look for the damn pieces? Thats like, a one-two punch.
And backtracking? Who isn't sick of action/adventure games that make you go through the same areas over and over again? Yes, I'm glad you designed this area of the game, it was fun..... the first time. Id rather lose an hour of game playing time then have to do the same thing over again in the same zones.
Metroid's always bothered me a little because of it.
Thats one of the beauties of RE4. I've never played a game like it with so little actual backtracking, and when you had to - the zones were different! What a pleasure.
So, please go ahead... share your most frustrating/annoying experiences having to replay the same zones over and over 'cause the developer wants to say 10-12 hours instead of 8-10....
