I definitely prefer games where you are constantly moving onward through new areas. I LOVED POP:SOT for this. It was a short game but so much better for not having to travel back and forth through the same areas over and over.
Like I said in my previous post, that's the compromise one has to make if they don't want any backtracking in the game. But I agree with you, I just finished POP:SOT and it was fantastic. I did wish it was a little longer as it only took like 10 hours the first time.
