I posted Reckless Racing 2. But if you're asking for real, yeah that's a good game too :P

So I won a TWEWY code from Square Enix. Only prob. is that it's the iPad version, and I want the iPhone version. I dunno if anyone wants to buy it off me for $18? Heh. Or can gift me a iPhone version

The solution is to buy an Ipad!

Too bad I didn't know yesterday. Cashed in on a 10 dollar GC from myfreeapps and decided to spend it TWEWY to get it half off. On Day 3 right now, game is awesome.

If no one has gotten back to you, I can totally gift you the iPhone version in exchange for an iPad version code.

Well we have an iPad but it's shared...I don't really want to play on iPad anyway cause it's inconvenient for me

No one has gotten back to me. I have the iPad code ready if you want to PM me an iPhone code! Or if you need my email, let me know. It's all yours though if you're up for it

I've been looking all over for news on Baldur's Gate iOS which was supposed to be at Pax Prime. The big sites haven't mentioned anything about it, or Street Fighter x Tekken iOS. Were these games no-shows? Can anyone who went to PAX Prime talk about any indie games they might have glimpsed on the floor?

EDIT: saw the SFxTekken video two pages back. Still no word on Baldur's Gate iOS...

As far as I know BGEE was NOT at Pax.
Dev wanted to go but decided not, being in crunch mode for the game to be out as scheduled (ie in 10 days...so the iOS version will be likely postponed as they didn't submitted yet).
As far as I read they are still tweaking the interface...I even read they were able to play some hours on an iPhone too...they are still pondering feasibility on the small iOS device (IMHO unlikely...too small).

Personally the coolest thing I read (wasn't there) from Pax was Cardhunter

www.cardhunter.com,

nice preview here

http://www.theverge.com/gaming/2012/9/3/3287748/card-hunter-blue-manchu-pax-preview

Which is coming to every flash browser and they seems committed to port is soon over iOS (iPad probably).

I confess I'm pretty excited for it.

Thanks for the update! This was the most I've heard about Baldur's Gate in months!

Pizza Boy got a Game Center update. Sad to say but now I'll actually play it, lol
It still doesn't rotate right. My headphones are always in the way, at this orientation. I've put it on my device like 4 times now, then remember it doesn't rotate and delete it. Wish they would fix that.

god the cutscenes in nova 3 are utterly terrible. too much talking and standing about. so poorly written too.

Agreed! The story sucks. But the action definitely gets better toward the second half of the game, there's some pretty good shooting to be had. I just get frustrated by how sluggish it is trying to change weapons by dragging the weapon icon.

And how bad the framerate is; it's chugging every 15 seconds. Modern Combat 3 is so much smoother. And controls are better.

That sucks. It's funny how some games or apps don't get the basic stuff down

I haven't really read this whole thread. I just wanted to share a decent Trading Card Game that I picked up for free on iOS (I play on my Ipad).

You can even play it in your web browser. It is Shadow Era.

I'm pretty terrible at the Magic: The Gathering Planeswalker demo, but I was able to figure out this game fairly quickly. Not a bad little game. I play the AI while in bed.

Speed running Mikey Shorts with the virtual pad is a nightmare. I can barely make 3 stars on the later levels. Is there any way to use my Bluetooth keyboard to play? Or even a Wiimote or PS3 controller? I'm jail broken if it helps, on an iPad 2g

Keep practicing - the virtual pad is fantastic in Mikey Shorts and you should be able to easily get 3 stars with a little practice.

True, but at least they look amazing from a visual standpoint.

I was getting so much chuggs that the game was almost unplayable, got a lot better after i reset my campaign progress (I was at the very beginning so didn't lose anything)... Now it stutters a bit right when the area loads, but shortly afterwards is mostly smooth.

Man, it really bugs me that more games don't go the carc wayand make the app work vertically as well as horizontally. I like to play in bed and was really hoping for kingof dragon pass's universal update on ipad to work vertically. Why don't devs do this? Am I the only lunatic who preffers holding the ipad vertically?

Well, I crumpled and bought Lost Cities (I play almost all board games on my iPad). Enjoying the pace so far, two quick questions:

1. Is there only one "deck" of cards for each color... ie, is there only one green 10 and blue 8, or are there two of each?

2. Do the smiley faces in the A.I. game chart mean anything at all?

Feel free to send an invite (same as carc: mikeworks) if you want to play a game, though I'm still learning. Are the percentages the same as EOL?

I remember seeing a preview for a game a while back that looked like Animal Crossing. I think one of the characters looked like a pirate. Not Happy Street either. Anyone remember the game I'm thinking of?

You guys hyped for Super Hexagon? I tried out Hexagon on PC and it's pretty damn fun, but don't see how it'll control well on iOS. We'll see. Only 99 cents for intro price too

I imagine blutrol would work with a wiimote. But the vpad is good, deal with it and it will make you a better person.

Very hyped. According to the developer, he thinks it controls better than the PC version. All you do is tap the left and right sides of the screen to turn.

Whats the freemium model for this?
I haven't tried it yet to say how it works but it seems they at least aimed for the right stuff:
Project lead Kee Chi tells us that nailing this balance has been a big deal. "It’s been really important to me throughout this project that we allow all players to play the game as much as they want."

"The core experience of the game should be fun for the non paying player as well as the paying player. The game needs to be fun for everyone," he exclaims.

"You can always earn coins and Superium through many avenues in the game, but if you do choose to pay for IAP, you can power up your heroes quicker, get new super heroes earlier and experience the content at a faster pace."
(from Touch Arcade)

I also like what Schafer had to say in an interview with Eurogamer today:
"I'm really interested in some of these free-to-play models that are coming out, even if some of them are done scarily and slime-ily," he says. "I think there's a lot of potential in allowing us to release a game that we can stay with and keep making improvements for because it's funded by the free-to-play stuff in the game."

We'll see but I'm optimistic.

The app is universal, which might explain the file size.

TouchArcade has spotted our latest published title coming out today, Twang the Fox, made by Conix Games in the UK.

99c, no IAP, universal, Retina support, iCloud support

And a promo code to the first person who quotes this post and give me the name of one of the farmer antagonists from The Fantastic Mr Fox :)

Nice AGA-feel to the graphics.

also Bean is one of the antagonists

Awesome!! Thanks!!!

Dude I love your Avatar...

You know what this thread has done for me? Turned my phone and iPad into a holding ground for pages of apps purchased on sale and I am weeks behind on playing them...

Good call on Puzzle Craft, GoF2, and Hunters 2 though. All awesome!

I decided to bite on Dragon Island Blue and have been VERY happy with it. It's a bit grindy, but it's definitely the Pokemon/Dragon Quest Monster game I was hoping it would be.
