I like the look of this. Did you play it on iPhone or iPad? I guess the visual style will transfer easily to the bigger platform?

I played it on both, but primarily on my iPhone. Mostly because it's a good game to pull out to kill a few minutes here and there. Plays and looks great on either.

I hope they manage to shave a good 180MB or so off that file-size before they actually release it.

I managed to nab it before it was pulled from the App Store, and from the little I played, I can't imagine why it was so big. I erased it almost immediately. For some reason, though, I kept thinking the name was "Middle Finger of Justice."

EDIT: Also, just noticed Asphalt 7 is on gnomeescape today if anyone wants to nab it for free.

Hey, how is Wild Blood? Nobody playing it? I've been burn by Gameloft far too many times to be interested, but being their first UE3 game and not being a clone intrigues me. Multiplayer sounds fun too.

I played the first 1 1/2 hours of the singleplayer mode, but it was plain boring and I deleted it.

I bought it 2 weeks ago and I must confess I'm addicted, even if I shouldn't.
I like it more than Legend Four (which I already completed).
It has no story and mechanics are explained really bad, but after you get it it is, at least for me, really addictive.
You basically go throu a series of quests and events (ie: fights) with a party of heroes...doing so you can strenghten and evolve your heroes in more powerful ones, and so on...
I understand it is a 'westernized' clone of a Jap famous title (I can't recall the name tough).

Is this the puzzle game that requires a constant Internet connection?

I just finished the first chapter... The game is gorgeous, controls are great (Except for some middle screen icons which are used to interact with doors and chests)... The combat is fun so far, but has some strong assistance, so i can see it getting old really quickly... The story is dreadful...

So far it's fun, but i don't know if it will hold for long.

The game is probably the production with the highest values i've seen on ios so far. It does have a feeling it could be a console game.

Edit: Finished the second chapter. Still liking it :P I don't think this is a bad game at all, on the contrary, i can see this getting praise... That
turret part
however, was terribad...

They should have spent a little more in the story and dialogs, and make the game more challenging/less automatic... Would do wonders to improve it.

There's a new table out for Pinball HD / Pinball Collection HD.
Arcade Pinball (Ignore the wubs. Fortunately/Unfortunately they aren't present on the actual table.)

Along with War Pinball HD, these are by far my favorite pinball tables on iOS. The features in the app are pretty impressive too. The HDMI-out 1080p view is gorgeous. It's a shame about the confusing separate apps though. I bought Pinball HD and War Pinball HD. I wish I could have them all in the same app, ala Pinball Collection HD.

Oh man, that Angel Salvation game just took my whole night away. Ran the iPad battery dry, now playing on iPhone. Stupid no iCloud saving means two separate groups of heroes but I love the core game. It needs a better tutorial though.

Yes it does require an active connection, as it was a sort of MMPORG.
No clue why...but they are 'stealth updating' the game constantly having so (till now...for the better).
Sometimes new quests pop up out of nowhere...Sunday there was a cool one where I ransacked like 100K gold in no time.

My actual problem is levelling (straightening in the game Engrish) to the max my party to 'evolve' them in more powerful beings.
I did it so just for my main char and another one, and they are pretty sick now :)
Also, in a week I've sooooo many friends (in game=an additional party memeber for 1 use per day).

The MAIN problem right now is that you CAN'T CHANGE THE DEFAULT NAME...so everyone is called the same and you can't recongize who is who in game.

Yes, but hopefully they will have a login based save (with Facebook link, I fear).
For that reason I'm playing it on iPhone.

It's really BADLY explained, but still...I'm having ton of fun.

Advice...DO NOT SPEND any diamond till you fully understand the mechanics.
Also...do NOT USE ARTIFACTS (props in the game) to strenghten (level up) your party.
They will come handy later for evolving (when the real fun begins...sick spells aplenty).

I wish it had an actual story but I'm liking the mechanics a LOT...took some time to adapt to the new matching mechanics coming from puzzle quest...but now I'm doing in some quests like 15-combo (yes, they are DEVASTATING).

At higher levels mana become a problem...so I'm desperately needing evolving my party further (not wanting to wait for mana to replenish).

Grazie Pitta :)

Is there any understandable guide to the game? I've just started and I'm totally confused...

for example: if I "strengthen" a hero, is there a chance of failure? Is it just a way to get xp?

Mega Man Creator’s New Side-Scrolling Action Game Where You Play As The President
By Spencer . September 11, 2012 . 2:04am

Keiji Inafune isn’t only working on Soul Sacrifice and Kaio: King of Pirates. The Mega Man creator also made a side-scrolling action game with Marvelous AQL.

J.J. Rockets puts you in the shoes of the President of the United States… who transforms into a mutant blasting super hero. Inafune designed J.J. Rockets for short play sessions. You get three minutes for each mission and that includes the time it takes to defeat a mutant boss.

J.J. Rockets is available now for Android. It’s free to play, but you need a Mobage account to register. Marvelous AQL will also release an iOS version.

Sounds interesting and looks somewhat 'familiar' Want to try it though ^_^

This is what I understood playing the game.

You have a party of heroes...doing quests you level those up (slowly).
Often completing quests gives you what I call 'prisoners'...other heroes that fill up your ranks in a legion.
You can then strengthen your main heroes sacrificing your lower ranks.
Doing so you will level up your main Heroes (watch out that XP and gold requirements depends on the colors used with extra gain or XP loss depending on the cool always onscreen gem help, in the upper right corner during quests).
When a hero is max level, you can evolve him/her using the REQUIRED artifacts.
The game will select those automatically IF YOU HAVE THOSE, watch out that they are displayed but grayed out if do not have the required ones...this was confusing for me in the beginning, because they are indistinguishable.
You can get particular artifacts doing quests or events (they change during the week).
I still miss EXACTELY what the stars are for (some 3 stars level 2 heroes are better than 2 stars level 10 heroes).
The glowing checkers behind a particular hero means he is a rare one.
At higher levels heroes have spells that kick in after a fixed number of rounds, then you have to wait.
Diamonds are required to summon heroes (better than the ones you get playing) and guardians, which I assume are even better, but I'm not sure.
Before each quest you can select an additional hero....it's chosen among your friends main hero (the one and only you select at the start, the only one which have an active and a passive skill) or random...it's an additional hero in your party just for the ongoing quest.
After you complete the quest you can add that char as a friend....you can choose him once per day, but every time you do you get 10 points instead of just 5 (this points earn you summon heroes capabilities).
The cool thing is that if both of you are mutually friends, and you play, your main heroes both level up....so you want to have active players as friends...so you will get powerful heroes to aid you in high level quests.
The difficult thing is that almost everyone now share the same name....

I wrote this in a hurry on my iPad....hope it helps to give you a general idea...ask if you need help (and if I know :))
There is an actual game guide hidden in the settings.

Despite all this difficult to learn things...I'm liking the gameplay a lot.

Is everyone going to upgrade to the iPhone 5? I am pretty excited for tomorrow, I am still on an iPhone 4 and it's starting to feel a little slow.

I especially can't wait for it considering 90% of my gaming is on iPhone these days, I don't even know if I will buy a console next-gen, and if I do it will most likely later on.

I'm kinda on the fence about it. I want it because it's the new hotness but in reality I don't play on my phone at all any more - it's now a media player/camera/recording device that can play Drop7, all my other gaming is done on the ipad.

For the first time, I wondering if I shouldn't just get a really big 4S or even just a 4 and be done with it.

I will kill for the new New iPad though.

when it comes to iphones its usually best to keep to a 2 year cycle. make the most of what you get and by the time you upgrade you'll be seeing a worthy upgrade.

What is the name of the horror(ish) games that is using Infinity Blade engine? I remember buying two of them -- one more of a exploration game and the other more action oriented (you began game with a crossbow).

Any help?

I will be. 1 year contracts ftw. I just have to wait a couple months after release to be able to buy it though

I'm on a 3GS still. The wife got the last upgrade for the 4S and now it is my turn with the 5. We rotate every other upgrade instead of everyone getting a new phone at once. We also do this with the iPad.

had to delete nova 3. its actually quite meaty but it was such a chore to play with terrible cutscenes, writing, stuttery frame-rate, super linear, inconsistant A.I and annoying controls.

good thing i only spend 59p on it.

I will be on next year Jan when my 12 month contact end. I think it is better off because more apps will optimized for this phone than day one.

So it seems BG:EE is going to be 5gig installed according to the TA thread...

Is it me or is that alienating most iPad users? That's about a 3rd of the space on a 16gig...

How did you get a 1 year contract-I thought you live in the bay area?

*insert that gif of the guy shaking like crazy*

Employee plans yo

Actually I think it's more like 10 month contracts. We just have to wait a bit for new phones though, hence waiting a couple months until the new iPhone

ive learned the hard way that even with an iphone 16 gb is not enough nowadays. next time i pick up an ios device it'll be 32gig at least.

You shouldn't worry about that because it is only came to iPad.

But yeah 16GB is not enough for heavy players.

yeah im talking in general.

also quoting above:
isn't there an horror/adventure game in the vein of classic resi/dino crisis etc? stil in development last time I checked.

anyone remember what im talking aboot?

edit: its forgotten memories!

I'm certainly not going to upgrade, at least not right away.

Part of it is that I'm still on contract with my 4s (although selling it shouldn't be a problem), but the issue is more of that it'll take time for apps to take advantage of a bigger screen, and it'll take even longer for stuff like new cases and other accessories to show up. So, I'm waiting for now.

Does anyone know of any Idol or Popstar management sims in English? I'm hoping for something with a story and skill-based gameplay. I want to take an orphan and turn her into the new Britney Spears. But hopefully the paparazzi will force us both to accept both where she has come from and who she is now.
I would settle for "The Taming of the Shrew" the game. Bonus-points if there is a rhythm game where I help her say " The rain on the plain in Spain."

No clue what BGEE is, but I think that file size is going to alienate a fucking ton of iOS users across the board. Holy shit!

And I thought your typical gameloft game was bad.

Hope the game doesn't have too many patches. That's gonna suck balls.

Didn't the developer say that it would be around 1 gb? 5 installed can't be right. That's 10 gb free space needed for the install which would mean most people with 16 gb iPads wouldn't be able to even buy it. Aaand the original wasn't even that big installed iirc.

Edit: 3 gb installed, so 6 gb free I guess.

As much as I'm ashamed to say this, but yes, there is. It's a freemium game with somewhat of a story, overall not that good but hey, it's very niche-y. Now if I rembered what it was called... Ah yes! "Stardom - the a-list" by Glu Games.

I am ashamed of myself now.
