Finally picked up Galaxy on Fire 2 HD. Only a dollar so it seemed like a good deal since it gets a lot of praise. It's going to be a fun way to pass the time during my breaks at school

So long as it's a U.S. gift card, I would imagine you should be able to use it on the U.S. App Store. But no, your device isn't limited in terms of which country's App Store you can shop on. I'm in the U.S., but I have both U.S. and Canadian (which I use for those rare games I want before they release in the States) accounts.

First time I played and finished Bastion.

The touch controls aren't ideal, but the game is so amazing that it doesn't matter.

Easily the best game I have played in a long time. The story, the music, the art, it all just blends together to creat a modern masterpiece.

Purchased and beat Space Miner. So fucking addictive.

Are there any other games like this where you earn cash/currency with with arcadey/rpg elements? Man.. when I have the cash, I might just buy an ipad for gaming.

Heads up from Game Informer, Re-Volt is coming to iOS

http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2012/09/09/re-volt-coming-to-ios.aspx

Re-Volt, the Dreamcast, PlayStation, and Nintendo 64 racer is coming to iOS devices in the next few weeks.

Nick Baynes, studio head at app developer Big Bit, replied to a tweet asking about favorite Dreamcast games saying, "Anyone that says Re-Volt should watch the App Store over the next couple of weeks...." On Big Bit's site, there is also a coming soon image that is clearly from Re-Volt's box art.

I never played Re-Volt myself, but I imagine there are some people out there excited about revisiting the game.

just beat 10,000,000 and it clocked me around 5.5 hrs

i didn't even really like it, although it was a decent time killer

Infinity Blade and Infinity Blade 2 are going on sale tonight for $0.99/$2.99. I'm predicting Dungeons is coming out soon, especially with the new iPhone announcement in a couple days. Sounds about right...

I hope it's true. I grew kinda tired of IB and IB2 but Dungeons looks so good...

BTW, is there any information about the game out, other than the trailer from back half a year ago? I wonder if this has any sort of multiplayer, or at least crazy item collection ala Diablo.

Good news for anyone who may have hit the Happy Street level cap - update 1.1.0 has been submitted to the Apple overlords. Change log:

- The maximum level was raised from 19 to 33
- Doubled the number of quests
- New environment and new characters
- New series of houses, shops, decorations and a mysterious new type of villager
- Optimized loading time
- Added FAQ
- Added confirmation button before buying a building
- A lot of bug fixes
- Workshop and Nyok's house can be upgraded to reduce crafting time (editorial comment: I believe these are enabled via IAP)

That's great. I haven't played much in the past few days because I've been preoccupied with another game but I'm looking forward to the new content.

My wife will be happy with this news. It's her flavor of the week, since she finished Puzzle Craft a while back.

Finally! Only things I had left to do otherwise were upgrading the Dojo and Palace. Also going to sell my extra Wood Cottage to make room for the Little House.

I bought and started playing 10m last night and so far it seems pretty bad. I'm up to the scout rank and my top score right now is about 500k. My games are barely lasting a minute usually because I end up getting stuck on an enemy and I can't find the 4-5 matches I need to kill each one. This is also a problem with all the icons as a whole, they look so similar to me so I get stuck constantly without being able to find a match for a good 5+ seconds which completely kills any run im on; I think it's because all the colors are so muted I can't really tell them apart very well. The only one thats easy for me to spot is the purple backpack ones, which i have no idea what they even do, I'm assuming they give items though. A minute even on my phone is way too short and it feels like I'm running on a treadmill because I'm having to start over so often.

Am I missing something? Do I need to just farm the resources a lot more until I get more powerful weapons and armor/shields?

All of what you just said is normal. As you play more you will get a little further and further each time. Hence the addictive factor that completely dies once you get through it.

Am I the only one playing Drakerider?

Just got to chapter 4. It's a pretty mediocre RPG, but it's fun. The pacing is good, and I enjoy the combat system even if it's not super deep. I would put it above the original Chaos Rings but slightly below Chaos Rings 2. If you have $20 to spare in a JRPG, TWEWY is easily the best choice.

you beat chaos rings 2? I can't even get pass the first fire dragon thing :(

They expect me to have a water gem thingy already... but haven't seen any, so i just keep getting my ass raped.

boob.

For any Monster Flip and/or papercraft fans here, we got some papercraft monster designs made up. Each one has two sides, so you can flip them round depending on your mood :)

Here is a preview. We'll be releasing the downloadable PDFs sometime this week.

Are there any good SRPGs for the iPad except Final Fantasy Tactics? And while we are at it, any good simulation games like, let's say, Transport Tycoon? I've seen a few Sim City clones but they look more like Cityville than an old-school Sim City.

Sim city on ipad is ok.

ravensword and hunters 2 are the 2 srpgs you must own.

Hunters 2 is so godly. I've put over 15 hours in this week, and FF tactics is one of my favorite games of all time.

I wasn't terribly impressed with Hunters 1, but anyone who felt similarly should not be put off from trying 2. It's really amazing.

Re: that last bit, I believe there was a few interviews that referenced loot, it seems you can play sections over and over for better gear, your armour is the stuff you can customize the most as the weapons are hand crafted (may even be a linear progression, not sure).

I did see a video where he got some green drop boots or something from the boss, so Diablo style loot is in there in at least the basic fashion.

I'm truly baffled by this statement. I thought it was solid, with a polished, sensible interface and design, but "godly"? Not even close. For iOS, I'd label it "worth checking out," but after forcing myself to push through for more hours than I truly felt inspired to play, I had to erase it.

One of my personal most anticipated releases came out this week.

Anyone who likes Peggle should check out Paplinko by Game Circus. They made the Coin Dozer and Prize Claw games. So addictive.

You're not alone with this. I found Hunters 2 a solid experience and all but the volume of praise it gets speaks of a game that is far superior to the one I played.

Dammit! Kinda wish you hadn't brought this to my attention. I put a silly large volume of time into Coin Dozer. I can only hope that my iPod crashes before the download is complete.

Yeah I put it in the 'meh' category too. Still, if some people love it that makes it worth checking out for the price.
