Does anyone recommend the iOS version of Lostwinds? Enjoyed it on Wii a few years back. Lots of people complaining the controls suck...

The controls are horrendous to the point where it's not even worth downloading for free because you're probably not going to bother playing it.

A real shame because it seems like a nice game.

Has anyone mentioned Cool Pizza?

Don't want to spoil too much. It's good. It's free. ^_^

Thanks for the tip. This game is all kinds of badass. Loving it.

I disagree with others. I played through both games on iOS and had no real issues. You can switch to a virtual joystick if you want also.

Yes, we made the decision to switch away from selling new campaigns by IAP, and so when the next campaign update hits towards the end of October, we're increasing the price of the app to reflect the added value.

So right now would be a good time to get Ravenmark; the coming update will basically give you the new campaigns for free if you already own the game.

There's still one last campaign under development - we're looking to deliver that by Christmas. Then you can definitively say you have all the campaigns :)

You guys are fantastic.

That is all.

I don't know when you last played it but they updated the controls and it is more than playable now

I recommended it just last page in fact. Very charming little games.

I am living proof that the games are not only playable but also quite enjoyable. The trick is not being too spastic with the swipes. Purposeful and simple wins every time. When you figure out how to slipstream properly the last half of the game is so easy.

I wasn't being spastic with my swipes though. Didn't realize there's a virtual joystick, so I'll give it another shot.

Dungeon Raid, because it's simple and different. All the clones of it are horrible though, especially Dungeon Story.

What is the difference between the two? My only iOS device is an iPad and Dungeon Story is universal, while Dungeon Raid is not. I haven't bought either yet.

Can anyone recommend some deeper iPad experiences? Pick up and play games are nice, but lately I've been feeling like getting into something with more story/adventure/atmosphere. More like a console experience but something I can play on my iPad in bed.

Can't wait till the Phoenix Wright iOS pack gets released...

Bastion, Aquaria, Bard's Tale (Starts great, drops off a bit over time), and the plethora (Ok smattering) of point and clicks out there!

Carmegeddon seems like an excellent port. Gotta love them old school gibs, brings back a lot of childhood memories.

I recommend Chaos Rings, especially if you like JRPGs. Don't bother with the "HD" version.

King of Dragon Pass will also give you something to sink your teeth into.

Another release day week.

Still no sign of Clash of Heroes or Ghost Recon.

Sigh.

Ubisoft, your mobile marketing departement really suck.

Thanks for posting this here, I'm loving it! Fun with a great style, no idea why this is free but I'm not complaining. Only wish it had a pause button but I guess it could mess up the jumps if touched by accident and I can just go to the home screen instead I guess.

I take it you've run through Ghost Trick already?

Is Ghost Trick as obnoxiously talky and Japanese as TWEWY was? I am now gunshy of taking recommendations from people with anime avatars. You have... unique tastes. If it's another game where you're constantly tapping through reams of inane text then I can happily skip it.

It has that Japanese sense of whimsy that you just don't see in western developed games, but it's not anime styled or anything (thankfully, because I fucking hate anime). It's a very story focused game, so there is a lot of text. It's great text that I enjoyed immensely, but if constant tapping is a universal turn off for you, you might want to avoid it. It was one of my favorite games last year but I guess it's not for everyone.

Agreed. I've been waiting for these two for a while now. Apparently Ghost Recon was announced for iOS last year or something and it's still not out.

Fairly sure you won't like it but since the first two chapters are free you can give a try to at least see the objectively good character animations.

I am struggling with the interface for Last Express. I'm having a really hard time reconciling my character's orientation with regard to the buttons, and keep getting turned around because of it. Having skipped it when it was first released, I was really excited to give it a shot on iOS...now I feel like I'm not "getting" it. Frustrating.

I'm thinking of sitting down and completing an iOS game for the first time: Lili.

Me too.

Also, avatar is from a game, not anime =p

I like it, but I also like a lot of other jRPGs. TWEWY was just a shitty game to me though, and I'm still salty as fuck for spending $20 on it. Not worth it one bit.

Hmmm, I do find that tappy tappy thing a bit of a pain, it might be a skip from this westerner. It's funny, I love a lot of anime and manga but there's something about the sheer volume of speech (since a lot of the time it's not even story) in Japanese games that makes me rage. Ever since the 16 bit era it's just gotten more and more voluminous. TWEWY was the last straw for me, I had to delete it.

Ah, thanks for the tip, I will check it out so I can slag it off with authority rather than be all wooly about it :P

eh, tomahto tomayto! Big eyes, little mouth, looks like she's gonna cry, that's anime enough for me!

If it helps, Ghost Trick allows you to hold the screen to auto-advance text, and if you trigger text you've already read, holding the screen will make it fast-forward instead, same as Phoenix Wright.

With all this Ghost Trick talk now... I wonder if they'll go back and add iPhone 5 support to it. It'd be nice to have even more of the top screen information from the original DS game over on the side.

I honestly think it has been cancelled behind the scenes but let's see.

I'm starting to think shady things are in the background....like MS blocking Ubisoft to port games to iOS in exchange of full XBOX360 exposure or something like that.

Their silence and the total lack of infos is inexplicable.

Ghost Recon was DEMOED live last year, and seemed complete.
Clash of Heroes had a trailer and a full blown media exposure some months ago.

Meanwhile many Ubisoft games (out of the blue) were published (like Rayman) in no time.

I'm hoping they are waiting the iPad mini or Surface (maybe they did port those over there too) to finally get them out (I'm loosing hope tough, especially on Ghost Recon).

I noticed that one of the tester team on Clash of Heroes (whom I stalk in Twitter) said some time ago they were ready for a new big franchise...2 weeks ago they took a 'much needed holiday after crunch time)...so I was really hoping for today.
It really bothers me that no website is even remotely interested in asking Ubisoft info (I tried in every possible way, no luck).

BTW...'our truly' :) Justin from IGN could be of help?
Just ask them for info...

If you don't like a lot of text you will not like it.
But it would be a shame to miss it. Have not played it on iOS, but it's fantastic on DS. Actually, it might be a little wonky on iOS, with fingers instead of stylus.

I tried Carmageddon on iPad2, am I doing it wrong, the car just skids uncontrollably whenever I try to turn almost regardless of the speed, I tried with analog steering in the default (low) sensitivity and with both digital and analog gas/break. It almost feels like the controls in some other racing games become when you hold down both gas and break together or something.

It does have super slidey controls, the pc version did back in the day. IIRC these improve as you upgrade, but for now get used to starting your turns half a block away.

It took me a ridiculous amount of time to orient myself, but it was very worth the effort.

I played through the entire game on both DS and iPad and found no control issues; I doubt it would be a problem on iPhone/iPod Touch either.
