Running person is dodge...

Play in virtual window mode in short bursts when possible. Very precise.

Ok dodge, I'll try that.

What does that mean?

Also, is there a point to collecting money and shooting bullseyes in the environment? It seems like only health and ammo do anything. I can't find anywhere to spend money, I assume it's just for high scores at the end of the level.

It's in the controls options.

1:1 motion controls. Very precise and entertaining when possible (not always obviously) and hard/tiring. Unlike gyro or other games' motion controls the sensitivity is true to life so to look behind you do an 180 irl, to look up you look up, etc. Last I tested with a reference point in the room it remained consistent even after frantic movements as returning to the point of reference in the room also yielded the same view angle in game. Makes it feel a bit like a lightgun game. But not. However it should have had its own leaderboards since it's so different and demanding.

I dont want to be a troll but there is a thread in the first page, and in the OP is the date of release

Implying I click on anything else but my subscribed threads...

My point actually WAS that it was supposed to come out at midnight but that I don't see it in the appstore yet. Sarcasm is a bit hard to convey online, but it was more of a "SO WHERE IS IT ALREADY" question. :P

Today my first day with my first iDevice (3GS) ¿what games and apps? i NEED to download right now?

Spider The Secret of Bryce Manor, Hellsing's Fire, Cytus, Reckless Racing 2, Run Roo Run and The Creeps!

Those are the best games that I've played on iOS. All of them different, and they will last you a long time for just a couple bucks.

Heroes Vs Monsters is a really good RPG. You control a small party of warriors, clerics, mages, archers, etc to "gear up" by facing tougher and tougher bosses. The game has a good art-style in some ways similar to Castle Crashers.

Little Things for the iPad is on sale today for $0.99. I remember reading about this game a couple of months ago in this topic. It's been pretty fun so far.

this is a great 'family gathered around the ipad' game. I'd ask for a retina update but we've played it so much I'll wait for the next game which shouldn't be long now - 'little things forever'. Maybe the price cut is to lead into that?

Okay, maybe I'm not "hip" enough to get this Sworcery game, but what the fuck am I supposed to do when the game starts? Theres like this record spinning, and then a "i" button. I click the "i" button and I get to a title screen, then I clicked another "i", back to the record, again, hit the "i", and now I'm at a point where some weird looking dude is standing there, with no indication of what the fuck to do or how the hell to control the game? I tap on the screen and it makes some "wooshing" noise, and the guy kind of shrugs, and that's it.

What. The. Fuck.

Yeah you're not cool enough. No sweat though. There's a new Angry Birds out tomorrow isn't there?

EDIT: Oh no it's out today! Get tapping, my friend!

I need to check the two DDPRs side by side to be sure, and I only have videos from ESP2 to go on (don't own the iPhone version). Both certainly have much less animation than their arcade/360 counterparts, though it's a lot more noticeable for ESP2.
I can't say I've noticed a difference between the iOS HD/old versions, if there is less it doesn't appear to be a huge deal.

Rovio are doing a manual launch, same time in all regions so it's off in some places, aka 9 hours late in the UK.

It's out now.

Cannot wait to get stuck into Hunters 2 tonight. I played the hell out of the original until it became too repetitive, this one is way overdue.

We are giving away a Monsters Ate My Condo tshirt on the PikPok Facebook page

Hopefully the EE versions being made for PC will be the iOS versions.

Just to clarify, there's not any version confirmed for releasing on iOS yet, but if it does get announced it will be Beamdog's EE (they're doing both BG1 and BG2 as separate releases for this summer) and most likely just for the iPad.

Oof. Hunger Games is really disappointing. I was pretty excited for this considering they were billing it being made by a "Dream Team" and being a HUGE fan of the books.

Admittedly I haven't sunk a massive amount of time into it, but the controls are lousy, the game, enemies and environments are repetitive, and considering its a endless (?) runner, there is a extreme lack of measuring how far you get. Its like it never really came together to be...well anything. At least that pixel art poster teaser thing for the game was awesome. Plus its free.

How does this look on the new iPad? I always hated the look of iPhone games on my iPad 2 so I avoided them like the plague. There are a couple I want to play though! (Looking at you Hero Academy)

It looks good on iPad. Stretching it makes it a bit pixelated but that just makes it look more authentic.

I dont know if this is the right place but, I am having trouble installing new apps. They keep getting stuck on waiting....

I have logged out of the app store
hard reset the iPhone

Any help ? I am using the latest firmware 5.1 and running it on an iPhone 4S

Zen Bound 2 has been updated for iPad retina, and is on sale for $0.99.

I dont know if this is the right place but, I am having trouble installing new apps. They keep getting stuck on waiting....

something funky is going on with the store. I've had this problem, and a problem where I install the updates and then they show up again.

Also, I reeeaaalllllyyyyy wish more games would start supporting Game Center save syncs. I hardly ever play any universal games on my iPhone anymore since I prefer the iPad, but it makes having them on my phone pretty much pointless.

Yep. Really disappointing. Not even Gamecenter integration, unless I'm mistaken.

It's not endless though. At least I don't think so, since I got to a new area.

At least it's free.

An update from the trenches - we now have a new iPad inhouse, so are busily double checking everything works properly as well as jumping on the MAMC iPad Retina update to work out what is going on there as the live version is just displaying at normal iPad resolution. We think the issue might be an iTunes Connect setup issue because our build happily displays at full Retina res locally on the emulator and hardware.

In any case, updates to fix iPad Retina related issues have been rushing out the door, so keep an eye out for those if you have picked a new iPad up.

will Monster Flip get an iPad retina update, too?

Carcassonne, Catan OR Elder Sign. I'm interested in all three but will only get one.

Shoot!

Carcassonne, no question.

Looking for Visual Novels / Choose Your Own Adventure type games on the iPhone/iPad. Any recommendations?

not played, but these are the ones i usually see mentioned.
Gamebook Adventures 1-8
Fabled Lands 1-2
Keep of the Lich Lord

that first Gamebook Adventures has a Lite version, i did play that and it seems like a really good adaptation of the format.
