Yeah, the second one's much, much better, though the first is decent. But Samurai 2 is easily one of the prettiest games on iOS.
Yeah, you'll notice that on the last page I actually bought it (at least, I think I mentioned it) :) Game is okay, but man it looks stunning.

Probably going to have an ipad by next week and was curious if they put any decent rhythm games or rpgs on this yet? Like, I'm not getting it just for games, but the stuff i've seen seems like a lot of neat tech ideas but no real story outside of the obvious big name ios stuff. Kind of reminds me of Atari 2600 games with better graphics. Which can be a good thing, but I'm curious about variety

Has that wanker Eli Hoddap or whatever he is called commented on the stupidly low review as yet? considering TA usually give everything a glowing review it's conspicuous to say the least.

It's sad that he feels the need to use TA as his own personal tool for E-hate.

To be honest, that thread is moving so fast over there, I can't keep up. But I have been trying not to give him the attention he seems to be vying for. And I suspect no amount of reasoning is going to make someone like that admit they could possibly be wrong about anything. It's unprofessional, yes, but it seems to be the consensus amongst most gaming sites that unprofessional is "what kids want." Regardless of TA's douchebaggery, the game is obviously the most popular thing on their forums. They're probably helping Madfinger with all that venom.

That it does. I know the gameplay probably isn't for everyone -- as I know many folks have moved on from beat'em-ups -- but I like to keep it around. I still enjoy that sort of thing. And of course, the eye candy never gets old.

Took a leap of faith and bought Monster Hunter, Mega Man X, Street Fighter IV, and Mass Effect. Still considering whether to pick up the game by Crytek which is on sale for .99 cents.

astro story edo town by kairo are both half price. It think its first price drop. Bought em both.

I wonder if the dungeon one got cheaper as well (NOPE!)

Ski Safari had a big update.

New mountain, new animal to ride, a new shop to buy boosts/costumes. Plus, a few more cosmetic changes to the game.

Gary Weis posted on BGG yesterday around 2PM PST that it's status moved from 'Waiting for Review' to 'In Review'...and historically it has been only a matter of an hour plus at the most for their other apps to be approved from that point.

Nothing has come back so far, though, and the last update he posted around 930 PST last night was :

Soooon.

wait, what's the story with TA's dead trigger review?

it's just a low review right? Or is there something noticeably fishy going on?

Don''t know. But their reviews are so fluffy and over-inflated normally that it makes you wonder why they would pick this popular game as one with a low review.

Astro got so boring in the endgame though! There wasn't anything to do after you beat it once. Unless I did it wrong.

Astro has that bottomless tunnel where you fight waves of enemies on each floor. I think it's one of the rare Kairosoft game that sort of does have a post-endgame. Though you are right in that there are much fewer facilities to unlock on future playthroughs, unlike most of their other games.

Retina update for Ski Safari is sweet! Can anyone tell me how I can recover from a tumble in mid air? I've had that mission forever and haven't managed to do it.

You have to start your tumble on the top of a hill then you should be launched in the ir slightly as the ground slopes down. Then you have to tap like mad to come out of the tumble.

Copied from iOS boardgame thread:

FUUUU. Tried the direct link from their twitter where they said it was available now, showed me the appstore entry just fine, but then when i click to download it says "item no longer available"

Anyone managed to complete Plague Inc. using all the different disease types on Brutal? I have just the Fungus left, but it is driving me INSANE! All my usual tactics aren't working and the Cure gets developed before I can infect even 50% of the world...
