Lol. I love iOS, but comparing the experience to consoles/PC is a bit silly to me. Apples and oranges. iOS is still just cell phone games. Greatly improved from past cell phone gaming , but still just a distraction in my pocket. There are a few exceptions, but generally ios games lack depth.

Talk about hyperbole. I have tons of iOS games but in no way do they even compare to consoles/PC. I'd easily give up the former for the latter, given the choice.

i don't know, i was hoping for some Baldur's Gate iPad videos myself

iPad is a cell phone?

The free-to-play update to Whale Trail basically destroys the endless mode. Now you have to save up Krill to unlock higher multipliers and extra lives and stuff, making all your high scores completely pointless.

Also, it's not even free.

Did they convert the game we paid for to a free to play? That and adding ads after the fact should be banned practices on the app store.

Whatever. You get the idea. No one can make the argument that iOS games are as robust as console or PC games. Why would they be at the prices we pay for them? And yes, iPad gaming is pretty much cell phone gaming on a nice big screen. I love my new iPad, but it doesn't compare to my custom gaming PC or my xbox. Totally different deal.

Final Fantasy Dimensions:

features a 5 party system among 8 main characters light and dark

And 2 screens from here:

NA site says July release date for iOS.

Haven't come across any videos yet.

Well, Toysthatkill, at least now we can die in the Whale Trail's first 30 seconds putting to rest your complaint about the game starting off slow ;)

Still boggled by this update.Ironically, it completely negates Gruff Rhys message in the theme song .

You can no longer see your house from here?

Vita, 3DS, and Kinect games have no place at E3 too I guess.

Thanks.

Demons SCore looks like crap, unfortunately.

Drakerider trailer showed shit, but the english screen shows a world map (!) so it shows promise.

Well, Drakerider IS supossed to be a full fledged console like RPG on iOS so that was to be sort of expected... I'm just worried about its episodic nature, I really don't like when games do that. I hope FFD has all the chapters included in it for this reason as well, just like they did for FFIVCC's TAY.

Is this what SQ was hyping? the game looks like it was created in RPG maker for windows.

You can only expect so much from a feature phone game up-port to smartphones.
Had the game been a port from PSP to smartphones it'd probably look a hell of a lot better, like FFI/II, but hey, at least we ARE getting FFD, I'm down for FFV style FF anyday.

No one else has given impressions of Mega Run yet. I thought people here would like it.

That game was the epitome of IAP garbage from my short experience with it. Any charm it has is eclipsed by the obvious money grab the game seems to be. Played two levels and deleted it forever

Really? I didn't find the IAP intrusive at all ... unless you wanted infinite stars to continue.

Demon's Score (SE's UE3 music game) has music by...
YOKO SHIMOMURA.
Perhaps despite looking extremely crappy it'll have some nice music.
It also has songs by some dude who has composer for Tekken and Taiko no Tatsujin.

Well now you are taking my statements away from their original context. They were made in reference to the following post.
When I originally made the post, I was obviously exaggerating a little. But after this final day of conferences, you know what? I stand by it. Apple wouldn't necessarily blow everyone away, but they could have pretty easily this E3. I mean, Ubisoft had the best conference - it's not like there was a ton of competition.

If Apple showed off a huge amount of high-quality upcoming third-party games, they certainly could have a bigger impact. I don't know what games you're playing, but some of the stuff on iOS is comparable to 3DS/Vita products. Some of it is as fun an expansive as console games. There's a lot of good stuff on the App Store.

Hey, sorry for the late reply as well, and thanks for trying out the game! :)

I really appreciate the feedback. Yeah the petal tapping isn't necessarily intuitive enough right now, a lot of people try to tap the center of the flower. I'm trying to come up with a non tilt control method for the iPad version, anyone have any thoughts on what might be an ideal solution?

Congrats on that TA review for Love Me Not. 5 stars. It's hard to complain about that. Good luck with your game!

As to an alternate control suggestion, I would recommend a slide control similar to Super Crossfire HD. That game is so good and that control mechanic works so well in it.

Snip..........

I agree. The bulk of my gaming budget goes to iOS gaming. So much quality to be had for the same amount of money. $60 for one game on a console or $60 for 20-60 games for iPhone/iPad? The value as a gamer is tremendous. iOS caters to my gaming habits . I have a job , wife ,kids, house etc so my gaming is usually done in small 10-20 minute chunks. But when I do get time to invest in AAA titles on PC or a console , the experience is far superior.

I'd have to play Chaos Rings 1 before the sequels? Is it that kind of sequence or are the games not directly related in terms of plot?

And thanks for the list breh.

I have my doubts that the drawing distance in that Spider-Man game will be like that but it does look great in that video.

Sweet, more Shimomura is always good news. I'm surprised, I wonder how many tracks she'll compose. I'll keep an eye on Demon's Score, it doesn't look too hot as of now but it may end up being very addictive. Even some of the mini-games in Imaginary Range kept me coming back for more for a good while.

Chaos Rings 1 + Omega are one series

Chaos Rings 2 is its own game (though near the end you can see the slightest strings towards the previous games)

Anyway...

Sequel to the best iOS game ever announced

Looks like the "Boiling Point" level pack where you could use the steam mechanic was a test drive for a full game. I'm a bit worried about this being more of a reskin of sorts, is it even Creature Feep developing it? Turning water into ice is definitely new though, in Where's My Water you can only turn it into steam and back to liquid.

Oh my!

I don't get why Natsume hasn't put harvest moon on iOS. It is a perfect platform for it and they already have developed iOS games.

Will this 24-hour clock inhibit game progress if I don't spend money on IAP?

Now this looks great!

If The Village is free of IAP's, I would be willing to pay very handsomely for it. As jon bones said, iOS NEEDS a good Harvest Moon style game.
