We got the joke the first time, and I can see how he would be annoyed. Now, he posts that, and he's baited in the first post in this thread. He comes in and explains himself, and what he doesn't like about it, and he gets a pretty condescending response from Junkwaffle and everyone tells him he's a big jackass, blah blah blah. Not everyone likes everything, and dissenting opinions are okay. I've known Bobby for like 6 years, far longer than I've posted at GAF, and know he's a pretty great guy. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, you shouldn't attack them over it, even if you don't agree. That's pretty whack.

I happen to fully agree with this! Let me say that I've lurked here for years before ever posting, probably registered, but never posting. Because I became a regular reader of this forum over a lengthy stretch, I grew vaguely familiar with some of the more distinctive personalities here (some of whom are gone now, I guess). But all of you who were here during that time were kinda like.... this sounds a little dumb saying it, but.... were kinda like celebrities to me. Perhaps there are some lurkers out there who know what I'm talking about? I was often blown away by the spontaneous wit popping randomly throughout this forum.... Anyway, what I'm getting at is I obviously have no beef with bobbyconover - and in fact, I've always thought of him as a 'good' poster. It's bobbyconover!!! Can I have your autograph, dude?!!
And I totally dig that username and your avatar! Same with Lambtron. He's cool with me!
But to get back to the main point, I ask you bobby (is that your real name?), should I just post less often? Or just post less drawings? Or maybe just lesser detailed drawings? Should I just leave, sir? Look, I know making jokes with drawings sometimes feels like overkill. I'm aware that saying something funny without a drawing can be far more effective (and safer) than using a cartoon, which can make a comment or joke feel very overblown, overstated. Yea, believe me, the fact that I create a picture to go with a comment or joke places an inordinate amount of expectation on that comment or joke.... and sometimes I just don't balance it all that well. Or I make bad choices, but hey, so what!
