Yep, played it once and I'm ready to play it again in all of its glory. The art direction of this game needs better treatment with PS4 hardware.
PS Blog post is up: http://blog.us.playstation.com/2014/04/09/the-last-of-us-remastered-coming-to-ps4-summer-2014/
"Summer 2014"
Basically. It's more like an upgraded GOTY edition than anything. The reason they can get away with charging full price for this is because it's sp recent, not 5-10 years old.
First details on the PS Blog:

There are more improvements they say. Maybe it's one of them.Let's hope that is the case, because if they're using more polygons on the character models I would hope they improve the environments too.
Isn't that just a modified version of some word diarrhea originally by amirox?Someone needs to contact the guy that read "Square just shot themselves in the foot". This post deserves audio version.
Yes, that's the "Reclaimed Territories Map Pack", full details of that still unknown.
Just thinking about the possible improvements:
- Higher quality assets (I think the same ones from the cinematics)
- improved lighting (again, cinematics quality)
- SMAA 2TX (the sublime one used in infamous)
- stable, locked framerate (I guess 30 fps)
- improved AI (I liked its AI, but it can always be better)
- Improved water and particle effects
Makes me drool just thinking about those points.
Hope we get details soon!
And so it begins...
- TLOU (never owned)
- GTA V (never owned)
- Diablo III: Reaper of Souls (double dipped main game, never owned expansion)
No drought here.
Whelp ... time to forget about this for a while and go back to D3. Looking forward to it assuming something else more flashy comes along!
Really surprised that they're handling it inhouse. Almost all remasters are outsourced. And that's especially the case with Sony's games. I think Hot Shots Golf and the GoW Portable collection were the only remasters handled by their original developers.
Nope. Unfortunately. I have tried, light continue to be 'buggy' without shake the control even turning it off..I know. I was asking if just turning it off and on again worked as a recharge which I had heard in the DS4 on PS3 thread IIRC. I don't know as I've never tried it myself.
People, try to remember this is just a $400 console, not a $1000 gaming PC. It's unreasonable to expect 60fps considering the hardware.
The good thing is...
I'll get to platinum it again, and play the MP again with friends cuz we were addicted to its MP on PS3.
So...Wipeout HD/Fury and Puppeteer are next right?
August 8th.
Well I guess the assumption is that Tomb Raider managed 1080p, upgraded textures models, etc. and managed to get 60fps. So I think that's where the expectations came from.People, try to remember this is just a $400 console, not a $1000 gaming PC. It's unreasonable to expect 60fps considering the hardware.
I'm the Bluepoint of NeoGAF posts. I handle the port of posts!Isn't that just a modified version of some word diarrhea originally by amirox?
Sigh, what a stupid way to announce this. Just do an official Blog post with screens and trailer.
Just get the PC versions !!DarkSouls1+2, Skyrim, Borderlands1+2
TR it's not exactly 60 fps. Probably TLoU would have the 'same' problem.Well I guess the assumption is that Tomb Raider managed 1080p, upgraded textures models, etc. and managed to get 60fps. So I think that's where the expectations came from.
