Just hope the finale is on the level of the original avatar rather than the quality of Korra's ending. Sign me up for another season though! First season was awesome up till that final episode!

This is the correct time, it is 7PM EST and last time someone leaked a free "press-only" 1 hour 720p stream/download beforehand lol. Let's hope for that to "leak" again.

And you should link the legacy threads OT book one http://neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=466931

Also this is not the same animation team as the first one so don't raise your expectations too high just yet. MIR is overseeing Pierrot, but even MIR team B looked better than some of the Pierrot A.

Man, now that I think about it, I think I'm most excited to learn about Wan,
the first Avatar.
I lose my shit whenever I watch the trailer and see him
go into the Avatar state,

One thing I hope they take into account is that the Avatar state is the combined power of ALL previous Avatars, so in essence the Avatar, literally, gets stronger with each subsequent cycle. Wan being the first, shouldn't be that much stronger than his base form, logically

Good point, but at the same time, I just can't see them making the Avatar state underpowered. Since the Avatar is the bridge between humanity and spirits, I wonder if they'll just use spirits as justification for making the Avatar state powerful. Would make sense since it's been demonstrated that spirits have knowledge of bending arts and can pass that knowledge on (see: Lion Turtle).

I can't wait for this! Book 1 had some disappointing moments, but I re-watched the season straight through with the Blu-ray set and it fared better that way. ATLA had some clunkers, too.

I'm not sure if I'm going to watch this weekly. I might just wait until the season is over and marathon through. I think it'll be more satisfying that way.

Lukewarm on S1 but I was ok with it since they "tried" to make the best of only having 12 episodes to tell a story when they usually do it in 20.

Hopefully they got it better this time
and not forcing that relationship shit

Subscribed and can't wait to watch this. Season 1 may not have been good, but I'll watch it because I love the Avatar universe.

Book one fell flat for me, but I still hope that the show really gets it's footing, this time around. Can't wait. :)

Team Korrasami, represent.

I personally enjoyed Book One. But maybe it's because I watched it all in one sitting, and didn't have the expectations and wait of a follow up to Avatar. I didn't even know Korra was avatar related until I started watching it, because I was so out of touch with what was going on with the Avatar World. It definitely has its problems even if you view it outside of Avatar. The characters aren't as interesting, some of the plot was rushed.

BUT, on the whole I really did enjoy it. SO I'm more excited for Book 2 than I think some of you are (especially those that were REALLY let down by Book One). I just hope the writers figure out a way to make a main plot line that can carry on through Book 2 to Book 4. I would kind of hate it if this season was just stand alone. But that's just me. Hopefully the spirit world stuff gives them a lot of room to really go somewhere interesting plot wise.

EDIT: I don't ship, but Korrasami would have been awesome. My one wish is that they
kill off Mako
.

I was really crushed at how underwhelming Korra was. I hope they can recapture some of the magic of TLA in Book 2.

The first season was amazing, excessive fan service and ending aside.

Yeah, season 1 fell aapart near the end, and it started so good. guess they couldn't work well with the limited number of episodes..

They could have just cut out the scene where
she gets her powers back
, and it would have been a dramatically different and better ending. Heck, it would have been a ridiculously awesome cliffhanger.

I kind of think that fans that were really let down by Book One, will continue to be let down by Book Two and so on. While I think the writers will get their act together, and bring more focus to plot/characters, I think there is a general tone/style that they are going for that is different from TLA - and if you don't like it, you will continue to be turned off. Based on what I've seen and read from the creators, they seem to be going out of there way to make these two very different shows. So even if they do technically get their shit in order, I do think some fans will never love it. And that is like a BEST case scenario where the writing is improved across the board.

Hopefully them bringing back the best writer of TLA will help this area. Because the creators wrote all of Korra, but shared all the writing duties in TLA. So clearly they aren't good at writing everything front to back.

OP, I believe the episode order has changed. From what I gather:

Episode 5 is now called "
Peacekeepers
" and "
Beginnings 1 & 2
" have been bumped to an unknown release date. I was told in the last thread that Nick and More is a legit site. But you would know better than me.

Here is the link:

Interestingly, MSN tv schedule had it listed as #5 then pulled it. So now #5 has no title. If you are unsure, maybe just leave 5 & 6 as blank, and below all the episodes put:

Future episode titles: "
Beginnings Pt 1
,
Beginnings Pt 2
,
Peacekeepers
. Or something to that effect. As to not waste this post (I should have just edited my post above instead of double posting)....here is some newly released art:

I hope they clarify the ending of book one. I was pissed off at korra and mako just kissing like that and forgetting about Asami. Assholes.

Does anyone remember how long after airing was each episode available for streaming from Nick during the first season? If it's not too long after the initial airing, watching it on a stream might be a good way to watch it with some of my friends in different timezones.

- Anything that hasn't aired as part of an episode should be spoiler tagged, regardless of whether that information is officially or unofficially released. So you should spoiler tag info from any trailers, interviews, clips, summaries, episode titles, leaks, and so on.

While I will admit that book 1 had flaws, I wasn't upset or disappointed by it. In fact I loved it. I'm hype for book 2.

Are you referring to the pictures? I'm confused. I spoiler tagged all the episode titles. And didn't say anything outside of the tags. The pictures are just concept art.

EDIT: The gif with the trailer stuff? I'll remove that now.

Man, I really enjoyed Season 1. So did most when it was airing IIRC. WTF happened to the fandom since then? I haven't kept up. The ending and the entire love triangle was dumb though. And she ended up with Sasuke.

Excite for S2. And riding the new guys dick so hard, and mentioning when this megaton will be revealed is kind of a spoiler itself dude.

GAF was mostly on board throughout the season but in the post mortem, Book 1 was roundly mocked. Combination of less likable characters, deus ex machina ending, and a forced love triangle did not go over well.

I just hope when this season ends the next season will be right around the corner, no excuses for it now.

Great OP, Omi.

Was overall really disappointed by Season 1 as I reflected on it after the finale, I'll probably watch Season 2 with little to not expectations... hopefully it's better.

Like many here, I was disappointed by Korra, but I'm seriously interested in season 2.

I just, well, I'm not sure if this is such a big thing. The ending of Korra
where she magically gets her powers back, and I'm not even including Air bending, which she (truthfully) could keep because of the reason of not being linked mentally yet, felt really phoned in. I mean, Aang pretty much spends 50 episodes mastering, agonizing and refining his bending, all of which culminate in a pretty incomplete avatar state, which he had to train under to adequately control, yet Korra just busts it out without any problem. Not a problem really, however, it is irksome. She's supposed to be more 'physical based' and I will agree that her bending's return is just as phoned in as Aang's spirit bending. There's no doubt about that. Just didn't like the ending that seemed like pandering for pandering's sake.

Spoiler has both TLA and Korra Season 1 details.

I don't think Book 1 was awful. It missed a lot of opportunities, and the big story arc ended up being pretty silly, but it was watchable. The first season of ATLA was also the weakest.

Episode by episode I thought it was basically fine. It just didn't do enough, and it conspicuously shied away from taking the Equalists seriously. The ending was less bad than the final resolution of ATLA, and the deus ex machina bit that gets so many people mad is a lot easier to swallow if you read it as
Korra deciding not to jump and Aang showing up because of her decision to go on as something other than the Avatar. Chakras and all that.

So I'm looking forward to the next round.

Blasphemy. ATLA was great.

Korra was Poochi'd because they had a renewal.

I love ATLA but im also aware of its flaws, season 1 of ATLA IS considered the weakest, as there wasent nearly as much character growth and aang was considered very 1 deminesional, and the ending of the whole ATLA series gets alot of flak

Well to reverse the DExM of ATLA was corny as fuck. Oh that whole threat thing we've been building up - let's care bear that and hug it out.

wat.

At least the deus ex machina in ATLA made sense. In Korra,
what did Aang even do? He unlocked her chakras for her because she reached her "lowest point"? I'll take the lion turtle over that any day.
I seriously hope it gets explained in S2.

ATLA actually had a lot of the same flaws as Korra. Some of the writing mistakes that people rail on Korra for, are also there in ATLA. Avatar just got away with it more, because the characters were more likable, and the main story/world was better.
