I'm debating asking the missus if she fancies starting a family so I have a decent excuse to keep buying Lego.Mush said:When I have kids I'm going to buy them every LEGO set they want. It really is the ultimate toy.
moop2000 said:Has there been any update on when the new Star Wars sets (most importantly the new Millennium Falcon) are being shipped? I thought it was in June but that doesn;t seem to be the case as we near the end of the month.

jambo said:I'm getting that from Kmart tonight, $129 AUD!
Might grab some other sets too, the sale prices are amazingly low for LEGO.

Charmicarmicat said:So this will probably be the best place to ask... I play the Arkham Horror boardgame, which requires a LOT of cards. I've seen people online use Lego to build storage for them, could anyone recommend a decent set to get me started on doing the same? Something preferably with a bunch of flat base parts and single-width blocks for seperators etc.
vicissitudes said:Question for lego collectors: how do you display your collections? I'm thinking maybe shelves but that might look ugly in the living room.
grap3fruitman said:Man, I prefer a lot of those older Lego sets where they were more original. I don't like how most of them these days seem to be licensed after something. Lego blocks are awesome on their own, they don't need no stinkin' licenses!
A Goodwill nearby has these but I won't be picking them up for obvious reasons:

The biggest pack I had was the Shuttle and Plane combo. The number of times that crashed into my floor...

I agree. When I was a kid, I would build off the instructions once, when I first opened the new set. Then when I got bored, I would take it apart and build whatever I wanted, and would never at the instructions again.Dutch Mafia said:Does anyone else feel that the creativity is lost with all the pre-formed parts. Man, I had the exact same one. Took it to kindergarten one day and lost one of the dustbin lids and was so sad. Looked for it forever!kanugo said:But my first LEGO (that wasn't a DUPLO) was this:

RustyO said:So... my girlfriend is over in the states seeing her family, and I can get her to get me some Lego whilst she is there... seeing as it is a LOT more cheaper to buy in the states then it is here.
So... what are the most awesome / biggest lego sets I can get right now?

I'm actually strongly considering the Falcon, since Target's having a 10% off sale right now, and I have a gift card.moop2000 said:I just picked up the new Millenium Falcon which is pretty solid. Also if you are thinking big, get the Death Star while you can. I'm guessing it will be sold out right before Christmas.
