Is the LEGO license on Harry potter expiring? Didn't see any HP in the recent catalog.
Ya, must of the Potter sets look pretty lame. I wish they'd make a respectable Hogwarts. So whats the move here? I open all the bags and dump all the pieces into one big pile?
Yes!
Also I think the Hogwarts set isn't looking as bad as everyone makes it to be, sure, the scaling is all over the place but at least it looks like the actual Hogwarts buildings.
If I take a glance at the upcoming LOTR sets, that's not exactly a given in the world of Lego![]()
Finished the firehouse, it's my first modular, so it was a fun time. Was surprised how fast the 2nd half went together compared to the first half.
Was a really neat build, the stuff on he 2nd floor was all fun to put together.
+fun construction

+the truck
- I feel like it should have come with more minifigs.
Went to a Lego store earlier today at the mall and seeing a few sets made me just want to buy them. But I didn't
I definitely want to build the Robie House and the London Bridge

Picked up some unexpected goodness from 5 and Below!

Yeah, it seems to be a neat alternative to Lego. I've half considered buying a few for office display purposes. Where's the best place to find the things in the US?
I've seen many at TRU, but then you'll probably pay more because it's TRU than say Amazon. Strangely, I've also seen them at Barnes & Noble.
Well I out my first order through bricklink just now, let's see how that works out.
Moc'ing is going to be hella expensive though, especially till one has a certain stock of good pieces. Also considering that I don't plan on taking it apart afterwords![]()
Depending on what pieces you order and in what quantity, MOC'ing can get pricey, yeah. I feel like the bulk of your cost comes from having to pay shipping on multiple orders to get the pieces you want. When I rebuilt the Lego Dragon, I think I played some 6-7 different orders? One if the pieces (2x2 green corner brick), cost me like 3 orders and a lot of cash haha. That's the battle of bricklink!
Tower Bridge man. It has nearly double the pieces of any other set near that price. A steal if you think of it that way.
Tower Bridge is amazing!
No kidding. At over 4000 pieces, building it sounds like the ultimate challenge. Dammit, I haven't built any Legos in over a decade, but that Tower Bridge is so tempting.
Another thing, any thoughts on the Modular Building collection (Town Hall, Grand Emporium, Pet Shop, etc.)? Based on all the sets I saw at the store yesterday, this collection was the only one that actually interested me.
Just a heads up for anyone that does not have the xwing. Amazon is sellling it for 47.95, I just ordered one for myself.

Yeah, nano is right. These are the kits I got:

I really like these little sets, and I'm definitely planning on buying more. They are very generous with extra bricks. Quality is pretty good, I feel.
You had me all excited, you should have added US![]()
Are those Marvel minifigs I see?! Any idea when they're coming to the UK?
Put some shelves up in my office today between watching basketball.

What's that set on the far right?
Death Star begins as a gnarly frisbee. I probably could toss it across the yard and it'd be fine. This thing is solid as shit.

edit also is there a good way to order all (!) pieces you'll need for a digital designer thing, internationally? It'll be pretty costy to buy hundreds of bricks from different bricklink sellers I'd guess.

So any News on that strange order 3001006668
It's status hasn't changed since the 12th...
No change on mine either. Is your item number the same as mine, 2855031?
What's the rarest or most expensive set everyone has on here? Post pics!
Did the first floor of Town Hall last night. Just finished the second and third floors. Going to do the roof after dinner.
The set looks great next to Fire Brigade, but I have to say it is a big step down as far as how much fun it was to put together. After all the weird offset things that are done in Fire Brigade, most of Town Hall seems downright pedestrian. Just not as many weird building techniques in it to stand out, but yet it is still fun to put together. You can definitely tell it is a different designer than the other modulars.
I will post pics of everything once I am done, but so far it is a step backwards from my first modular.
