There's a new heavy lift helicopter Creator set which is also pretty sweet.

Finally! Also have fire Brigade but I haven't built that yet. (waiting till I have some time to focus on it)

After that I want to get Sopwith Camel, Grand Emporium, the Imperial Shuttle, Tower Bridge and the VW Van. What have you done LegoGAF D:

You're rocking the Silver Champion set as well, nice!

So good that the cockpit and body aren't single pieces!

Picked these up after work today thanks to toys r us' 20% off City and Creator sets. Will build them most likely after the EURO group stage is over.

:)

I wish my local Toys R Us had the hillside house, I'd definitely buy it.

They were out of the Lighthouses when I went there today, unfortunately, and the sale ends tonight.

The one I went to had a few hillside houses left but only 1 lighthouse. I got the last one!

Found one of those little Star Wars sets at a grocery store today. It's one that the Lego store doesn't have.

Snowtroopers are so awesome.

I LOVE the Snowtroopers. I need to get a few of those packs to get the figures. Snowtroopers look like a cross between a Stormtrooper and Baron Zemo. In other words, a badass look. Also, the only battle we see Snowtroopers in, they won the battle. I cannot say that about Stormtroopers or Scout Troopers.

And tonight, I worked on nothing but interior detail on my Cafe MOC:

Decided on a staircase that splits into a dual spiral leading up to the second floor. I changed the ends to white single stud bricks because I think the white stood out more than tan, and it allowed a brace for the next step up. I also added circular 1x1 plates underneath to catch as well (thanks for the recommendation GAF). The staircase is looking hot so far I think.

I showed the espresso machine before, but I dropped it down after some suggestion on here. I have added a counter for the register (complete with a display facing the front for customers to see)

The end of the counter swings up so the workers can get out.

The table in the distance I am working on. That was a quick first pass. Will do further tweaking. Want to get more transparent circular 1x1 bricks though to make a light or something. Again, just toying now before moving to the second floor.

I would put something , even just a flat countertop section, 1 or two bricks wide between the express machine and the cash register. That close together, it looks like it's part of the machine because of a similar style, or if you could incorporate one of those angle pieces with a computer screen on it (though I really like that look you have now).

I have cheese slopes between the register and the espresso machine. Might change it to just a flat 1x2 plate though. The side has a 1x1 flat circular plate (like that came with Town Hall) on the side, which makes it look like it is connected.
I tried adding an angular piece, or puling out an old school sloped brick that had a computer screen on it (like every space set in the 80s came with), but it got too large.

But this MOC is making me appreciate that I accidentally wound up with 4 computer nerd series 7 figures. It allows me to have coffee cups for the counter.

that looks spectacular phonciple :)
now I am ashamed to show off my "finished" moc ;p

Thank you. I am worried about having proper materials left for a nice front of the second floor. The roof I plan on just using up all the dark blue roof tiles form Apple Tree House but with some nice window placement and making it work on the size of the building. I am making a conscious effort to put as much effort into the interior details as the outside. The interior is actually proving to be harder but more creatively stimulating.

My big fear right now is running out of 1x6 or 1x8 bricks to build the walls per floor.

I dont really have much of interior decorations so far...

I thought of doing them after, but I was realizing how much of a pain in the ass it would be to add them afterwards, so I am building both simultaneously.

The cramped quarters are what make it tough. And I am wanting a nice staircase to add some flair to it. That is a piece to build as I go.

well here goes

Modular Town House

I like the back side a lot more than the front. Perhaps it is the patio and the chimney going up the back. And I like the interior detail, especially the stove/range and the off angled chair on that one floor.

Very nice work. And the more I look at the pics, I really dig the stove/range (or grill if that was what you were going for, which seems to be the case since it is on the roof). It is the fume hood on it that sells it for me.

And I also just noticed the little bird on the ledge. Very nice little touch. It is the little touches that make me love the modular sets.

Wow, awesome MOCs, people. I hope I can be half as creative as you all.

IF Bricklink is ever fixed, I will place my 1st order. I have a plan to build onto an existing model, as I thought it looked kinda weird all by itself.

surprise surprise, the stormtrooper bucket didn't get through on cuusoo

First and foremost, huge congratulations to haru for reaching 10,000 supporters on LEGO CUUSOO, and toward everyone for all of the support of the Star Wars Dark Bucket project!

LEGO Star Wars is very popular, and we're well aware that many people want to amass large armies of Star Wars minifigures. Our team has done our due diligence, and due to our license we will not release a collection consisting almost entirely of minifigures. Since the 10,000 supporters came for this specific concept, we will not alter the project in the review. Therefore we will not consider the Star Wars Dark Bucket further for production. We're sorry to be the bearers of this disappointing news.

The challenge with allowing IP-related projects on LEGO CUUSOO is that there is the potential of a license conflict, either with an existing license or with a competitive licensor. Still, it's our view that it is better to be open and allow for possibilities, knowing there will be "no" answers along the way, than shut out the potential of IP-based products altogether.

Since we already knew the answer in this case, we decided to share the news now rather than wait until the Fall LEGO Review under which this project would qualify. Opening ourselves to new product suggestions invites popular ideas that don't always work. We are grateful for the spirit behind projects like the Star Wars Dark Bucket and for the opportunity to be challenged. It keeps us sharp and looking toward the future of the LEGO brick.

While I KNEW this wasn't going to get approved, I don't quite understand what their reasoning is.

What does this mean? Don't they have the Star Wars license for the LEGO models? I feel like this is a stock response.

Either "minifig-only" set conflicts with SW action figures or they didn't want to say that this bucket would cost for any a customer and Lego's imago.
Just guessing though.

Their license for star wars is for "building toys", minifigs only conflicts with hasbro's license for star wars action figures.

Also I'm sure they make a fuckton of money selling those little army builder sets full of storm troopers and a shitty vehicle, they wouldn't want to cut into that income source.

I didn't think of that...That's a good point.

I actually have enjoyed their responses and do no see them as stock at all. They seem to be well-reasoned and well thought out though they aften don't allude to exactly what the issue is, that probably being due more to licensing agreements and confidentiality. In this case, I would hazard a guess that this could be seen as an action figure pack as it is just minifigs. Due to Lucas' other licensed action figures they are probably precluded from allowing other manufacturers to produce "action figures" in certain circumstances. Juts a guess though.

I guess I meant it in a way that I can't really put into words, haha. TLG has done a great job of putting together a solid response to 10k voted projects, that's for sure.

GF finished the Vampyre House, it has so many great little features! Recommended, and I usually don't care for playsets.

I want this one so bad. Mostly for the Man-Bat figs but also it definitely looks like a great little playset too. Kind of like the Death Star with its insane playability.

Vampyre House looks really cool, but for some reason the Ghost Train really is calling to me.

I noticed the other day that it looks like it was the first of the Monster Hunter sets to sell out at my local Lego Store.

Now that I've seen reviews for all the summer Star Wars sets, I would say that the Sith Fury is the highlight of that wave... such a great design and detailed minifigs.

Uh-oh, my Lego box has been handed off from FedEx to USPS via FedEx SmartPost. Hopefully it will arrive soon.

Also, thanks for the BL update! Time to start planning my order!

Yup - going to start importing and placing orders! SO happy BL is back.

E: OK, what the hell:

Any idea? BL is making me mad.

Like I said, wanted lists are still broken. I think you can add pieces one by one from the catalig to a list, but you can't delete any and can't make a new wanted list

You trying to upload a big list via XML? What are you using to create the list?

Do it! It is a nice and cute little set, with some fun alternate builds. It is also a fantastic set for stocking up on pieces for a building MOC. You also get an obscene number of dark blue roof tiles/slopes in there.

Hmm, maybe get it delivered to the office then sneak it into the house:p

Rebrickable gave me the format to be honest. There's at least one software that helps make it (Brickstore is what I've been learning). It works great once you figure it out, but it takes a bit of time and effort to do.

Why so sneaky? Your lady not wanting you to spend so much on LEGO?

That's my situation...after I proposed, my fiancee said I am not allowed to get the $400 Death Star, so I purchased it immediately to set a precedent. Several more sets later, she is asking me again to stop spending so much on LEGO, so I'm holding back as much as I can haha

This is incredible!

My fiancee doesn't really care - I buy myself a nice thing or two a month and she gets that. :)

As a married women, I think your fiancee is wrong. She obviously knew about your Lego habit before you proposed- you should not have to change. as long as you two are meeting bills and saving, keep on buying!

I need to introduce you to my wife. I've known her for 16 years and I still can't get away with big purchases.
