I just popped in to say the reason all of those Legos were on sale + additional an 25% off is because my local Meijers is undergoing a remodeling. Apparently there was a great deal of other toys on sale as well.
Talking to my wife in more detail about the sale, she said the purple triple stacked bus from Harry Potter was only 4$! We already have 1 assembled and that is a great little model. She said it was the last one. If they would have had more of them, she would have bought them all at that price. I'm glad to have another because now I can have 1 for my growing Lego city and my wife can have 1 for her Harry Potter Lego collection.
I'm planning on re-assembling all of the Alien Defense Force kits that my girls have kind of demolished (well, having my wife re-assemble them!), and stage an all out invasion of my modulars. Three tripods, various misc saucers, and a mothership should populate my 4 modulars well enough! Who knows, maybe the Avengers may show up to save the day!
As for the rest of these, I'm unsure what to do. I already have a Ghost Train, but 2 is always better than 1! The Star Wars stuff is not really a big thing for me, but I do have room to display them all if I choose asseblem them. Perhaps they'll go into a big bin and end up stored in the garage for a few years and see if they go up in value. They could sell for enough to pay for this hobby for amlong time.
