I got it for $15 at Walmart but I think it was the last one. Just found it out of place on a half empty shelf.

Also if you have a Meijer store near you they are 14.99..I know cause I was just there and bought one hahaha...MOC contest here I come...

...picked up my first series 8 minifig too (pretzel dude)

I made a Mars Rover. Yeah, it's pretty crappy, but I have a very small Lego collection, so I'm still pretty happy with it.

Anyone else's day 1 Haunted House orders in any other status than "In Process?"

Their online store feels like it's from the 90's after using Amazon Prime for so long... I placed the order 4 days ago, wtf is taking so long? This happens every time.

It does feel that way sometimes. Just keep in mind that it is the holiday weekend, so things probably wont ship until today.

I got disproportionate enjoyment out of the swamp monster set. So adorable. Wish I could afford more of the monster fighters. Oh well. Maybe I'll buy the werewolf someday or someone will gift me a big one at christmas.

The news appears to come from Hoth Bricks, a French site which I have never heard of with a "highly reliable" source.

edit: ran it through a translator...

A reliable, highly reliable even tells me that LEGO will actually offer products licensed TMNT (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) with an official launch date announced for January 2013.

No details on the contents of this range for now, but we can assume that LEGO will be based on the animated series with the launch on 29 September on the American channel Nickelodeon (see press release).
It can therefore be considered as the onset of acquired license from LEGO TMNT for next year. Hopefully the New York Comic Con to be held from October 11 to 14, 2012 will bring us more about this new range ...

Small clarification: The above image is not the range in question is a montage put together by yours truly ... I say this in case you find yourself image and moreover that you sell as a visual official ...

Fascintating, thank you. I'm sorry if others will feel the loss if Ninjago bites it. I never really understood what Ninjago was all about, but to each their own. I thought it was still very profitable?

It's one of their most popular lines ever. We know we're getting new sets in 2013, and LEGO very carefully walked back from an earlier statement that next year could be curtains for Ninjago.

Personally, I feel the TMNT news is probably bogus.

I'd say it could be genuine.

Lego already do the Spongebob theme so they've worked with Nickelodeon before. The current Spiderman set(s) are based off the cartoon too so it doesn't surprise me if they did announce it.

6-10 boys is their key demographic after all.

Those are all good points, actually. I had forgotten about Spongebob, and I didn't realize the Spider-Man sets were supposed to be based on the cartoon. I guess we'll see.

I don't think LEGO is about to prematurely end one of their most successful in-house themes to satisfy a licensed theme with unknown viability.

That said, I have to wonder what was the original plan with Ninjago, and if it changed with the surge of popularity. It almost seems like they had planned a 2-year lifespan for the theme, but have now reconsidered and added a third year (or potentially) more to the product.

Did that Lego battle of Hoth board game ever come out or any info on it? Friend got one of the Lego board game sets and it was acually fun light little game

Word is that Hasbro blocked it from North American release, due to similarities to one of their own products. So if you want it, you'll have to order it from overseas.

Only in Europe (something about another company having the rights to Star Wars board games in the USA). I built it and the micro vehicles are quite neat! It has tons of microfigures so it's very useful for micro dioramas/vignettes.

What piece is that on the rebel turret (bottom middle) for the gun? Looks like a light saber hilt piece, but how is it connected...

huh, that's a really good question. Glancing over the parts list, the only one that makes sense is 4211502 but that doesn't seem to match the image.

edit: there must be a mistake on brickset. According to the manual, the piece reference no. is 4640844.

If Lego were to do another license with Nickelodeon, I wish they'd bring back the Avatar theme. The minifigs for that are way too expensive secondhand.

Went to the LEGO store today to pick up the MOC contest set, Prehistoric Hunters, and had a nice chat with one of the employees about the craziness of most AFOLs that frequent the store etc. He even called me his favourite customer, because I am that 'normal' :-)
But then, something caught my eye. The bastards had an Imperial Shuttle for 15 % off because it had some little damage on the box.
I am weak :-( But at least I got lots of LEGO VIP points out of it...

Amazing set. A really cool build, but one of the greatest display pieces out there. It is probably the only set I have right now that will NEVER come down. It is a permanent display piece.

Worth the purchase. It is MASSIVE.

Worth the purchase. It is MASSIVE.

That is an understatement. You don't realize how massive it is until it is too late. You can look at the measurements all day long and think: "that is not that bad." Then you finish the body and the cockpit and think: "this is getting a bit large."

Then you start the top fin, and the sheer size of the set starts to sink in.

Yes, the many adventures of Deadpool in this thread convinced me that I, too, must own a Deadpool...

...so I bought him on Bricklink, because everything else would go right in a box.

And Wolverine. And Magneto.

And honestly, the chopper has some nice pieces for MOCs. Using a few for my Monster Fighters Super Vehicle right now.
