Are you saying that if I place the Shuttle vertically (nose towards the heavens) on my desk that if I bump my desk once or twice a week that the tailfin will just fall off?!!!
So, short version is wait a week for the same deal and potentially better ones?

Yeah, this sale has me confused...
Possible. The only supports for it are the two small walls for the rocket boosters. I don't think the tailfin was made to be a support for it, but it seems to have turned out that way. It seems about once a month when I walk by it, that I push the fin back in place.
I can post pictures of it to show how it is, if you want.
The site is getting hammered HARD.
Shit. One moment I had the holiday set in the bag, now I dont. Grr. Shoulda just hit it at 12:01. Going to just keep waiting until the free set shows again.
But right now Maersk is 10% off still, and then the 10% on top of that when the total is over $150.
Yeah, if you can get that $150 total then you can stack those 10% discounts AND get VIP points AND get the free Holiday set.
I just placed my order for tonight - we'll see what next week brings for actual Black Friday.
What did you get if you don't mind sharing?
30 days? It was December 6 at 12:10.Just bought the Haunted House. Does the "out of stock-ships in 30 days" really mean 30 days?

Hayabusa (10% off), SW Advent calendar (also 10% off), Apple Tree House, Power Functions Light, PF IR Receiver, PF Train Motor and the free Holiday set.
Well, with the Cargo Train set you will get the power functions and a second train. And if you don't like the train, you can strip it for parts. I think that might be the better idea. How many hours do you get out of 9 AAA batteries in a train? Do you use rechargeable batteries?
I ask because the rechargeable pack is 49.99 minus 10 percent would be 45 bucks, and it just seems to be the best choice for value (and the plug is 22.50 after the VIP deduction -$67.50 total for both- for not buying rechargeable batteries (which are usually sold in 4 or 8 packs; the train calls for 9 batteries), or a recharger (usually 20 bucks) to charge 4 batteries at a time... it really does seem like a hassle to NOT spend the 67.50 right now to make operating my new Maersk a joy as opposed to the alternative.
Convince me that I should be cheap and get the ~12$ AAA battery box and never consider the 75 dollar alternative!!
Also I was think of saying fuck buying the PF parts separately and just buying the 7939 Cargo Train on amazon for 160$ which comes with tracks and PF cheapy style stuff; then I could alternate play between two trains! What do you think Lego GAF?

Edit: oh, god. Now you have me looking at stocking up on tracks and power functions. What good is a train without tracks? I don't even have my Maersk yet and I am thinking of tracks!
Probably best to wait for tru sales to get tracks.

Bah! Too late. I tried entering the random code on the back of. My catalog and it did nothing.Save an additional $5 on top of every other discount when you spend over $50+ with this code: PBK3
Tracks are one of the few things TRU doesn't mark up, so wait for a great TRU sale and pounce!
Use PBK3 if you spend over $50 but under $150 to save an additional $5
However, this code disables the 10% when you spend over $150.
Does that mean that the 24.99 price for 8867 (64 flexible pieces of track) is a sale price? Because that set is listed as 29.99 on TRU.com as of maybe 10 minutes ago...
the plot thickens...
Check the reviews for the flex track - it is very split between those that think it is ok for certain situations and other that think it is horrid. I've only purchased multiples of 7499 (which does contain some flex track along with the valuable traditional straight track) and 7895 (which are switches and traditional curve track). TRU has MSRP on both. On occasion eBay can be a source for great deals from someone unloading a bulk selection of track.
This needs to make a return:

Maersk Train is now Sold Out on LEGO S@H.
Sweet spot for a £50 set? Thinking maybe the villa savoye, possibly fallingwater (£75) or winter village bakery. Nothing I desperately want but I don't want to miss the sale
Does it have to be 50 euro? Can it be less? Do you have the Log Cabin? It's 30 bucks for 355 pieces and builds into 3 things!
Bakery would be my vote from the three that you suggested.

So this means I missed it right? Just because I didn't stay up for 10% off. Now it's gone light a frieght train?
Holy crap. If it is gone for good, I feel much better for finally hitting the train bug. Now to jump on VW Camper and Shuttle quickly.
I think Maersk went quickly because the set was already 10% off, then another 10% off that if your total was over $150. I think the price in the end on my order was $97.18 for Maersk.
