Dont know if someone pointed this to you, but this is a culmination of all the GOAT lists ever published, by default older games benefit more from it since they appear on more lists than the new ones.
More appearances > higher chances of being in the top 10 > more points for the total list.

My problem is that game isn't in the top 10 because of what makes a game a game, the gameplay, it's in the top 10 for it's production values.
The gameplay is basic, no evolution or variation throughout the whole game and extremely repetitive. From the very start of the game, it's go from A to B, enemy encounter (no real change in how the encounters work from start to end), repeat. No variation in combat or gameplay type. Uncharted 4, for example, had driving segments and some light puzzle solving, while TLOU has nothing, the gameplay is just filler between cutscenes.

I mean I agree with some if these but going off popularity rarely leads to the right answer. For example BoTW is still insanely overrated as a game with crazy big weakness yet most mainstream people love open worlds and its a good one of those so it tops a ton of peoples lists.

At a glance there seems to be a bit of a black hole with regards to the 8/16-bit computers of the 80s (C64/Spectrum/Amiga/St/Etc.).
