Ahh, that was the one!
Hmm, guess I should have voted after all and put it for Maiden But that would have been vote fixing if for some reason I liked another band on the list better hah.

Shouldn't you be happy that you now have proof that your taste in music is better than everyone else?Barf.
Barf.
how disappointing, Metal-GAF has chosen poorly.
Ok, I will give Opeth another try (only listened to them a bit when they came out but never got into them that much). Give me their best songs and let's see if I can agree with GAF's decision
lol, their best song is a Maiden cover I do like some Opeth but, wouldn't place them anywhere near a top 10 position, probably not even top 50. Diff'rent Strokes 'n' all that.

Just read this: http://loudwire.com/megadeths-dave-mustaine-confirms-device-for-2013-gigantour-trek/.
Mustaine has either a sudden boner for him or his new label is making him.
Also, it would be kinda humorous if Newsted was on that tour too.
You are both wrong.

Why haven't I listened to Kadavar before?

Holy shit that is awesome. I love me some throwback stoner metal. Those baselines, that solo....so awesome.
So what's a good Deftones album to start with?

White Pony or Diamond Eyes is the consensus. I love every single album they've put out though and started with Adrenaline, but it's your call. The first two albums are a bit more nu-metaly.
Also, I beat KOTOR for the first time today and, let us listen to Vektor to celebrate.reclaimed my place as Dark Lord Revan
Edit: To be safe I should clarify that is a KOTOR spoiler
Hadn't thought of that. Good point. Cheers! *struts*
Guys, I need recommendations for a stage name now that I just joined a southern metal band who of course all have retarded stage names. I'm the drummer (typically a funk/fusion drummer), so I was hoping to incorporate "funk" or "groove" somewhere in there. Something stupid like Groovegrinder would be great. Maybe a combination of a rhythmic word and something macabre.
Awesome album. Suffering Hour is so rare though... I went with the re-recording cause the original CD is just ridiculously hard to find.Anacrusis is fucking awesome

And, as a result of this 100% unscientific poll which anyone is free to argue over,
MetalGaf's favorite band is:
Opeth
Holy moly, Gorguts' Obscura album on vinyl is completely and utterly ridiculous. Really lets the bass lines breathe and gives it that extra oomph.
One of my favourite Cathedral albums and I finally found the LP version...The color is fitting, too! Next week the LP of The Last Spire should arrive, too, yay!

Been listening to Anciients a bit this weekend. Kind of a mix of Enslaved and Baroness.
