Saw them in Chicago a week ago for the first time. Although there where some setbacks, I enjoyed it. They're great live.

The new Amon Amarth single suuucks. It's such a departure of what made them badass and it just feels like an attempt get have more widespread appeal.

Amon Amarth has been pretty well releasing the same album for a decade now, so I don't really know how that's possible.
I didn't know this existed and I kind of wish I hadn't learned about it. I'm not a huge Tyr fan, but there's some stuff of theirs that I like.
... I have no relevant opinions on Turisas or Sonata Arctica.

I like the new AA album, it's pretty much what they've been doing for a while.
Lay of our Love is far and away the worst song on the new Tyr album. The rest of it rules.
The Turisas album is pretty bad aside from a few songs. I like the opener and a few others.
In Kakko we trust.
Somehow that new Tyr album slipped by me. I picked it up last night and it is badass. Just as good as the last AA record which was awesome.
The new AA video is awesome too.
Just because it peaked, doesn't mean they're not still consistently awesome. I have enjoyed every album they've done.
They also hinted that they can do things differently with the covers disc they had with this last one.
