Wasn't the Michelangelo virus the most famous(or should I saw infamous) virus ever? Also, was it true that it was so wide spread and went undected for so long that some of the acutal disks that contained Microsoft's operating systems in stores were infected with the virus? Also, did they ever find out who programmed it?

It was the first virus I ever got infected with, waaay back (in early 90's I think), I had an ancient PC (186? don't know) and the damned Michelangelo virus completely fucked up my hard drive. I think the HDD became literally unusable after a while.

I was very new to the whole PC thing and really didn't know much... I didn't have a serious virus problem ever since, in fact I've only been infected ONCE since then, and I managed to kill it before too much damage was done.
