Before looking at the below list, just take a few moments to think of the most dangerous cities in Europe. I did this before looking at this list and I thought Rome, London and Barcelona. You might think the same. Maybe Milan, Paris in the top ten. Well, here it is:

Finished going through the list?

What the fuck? Three UK cities are in the top 5! Birmingham I get. I have family there and the city is a shit hole, but I find it hard to believe that Bradford is the most dangerous city in Europe. In fact, France, UK and Italy have the most cities on this list. It should be noted that this list is based on residents' self-reported experiences and perceptions.

I hate talking my country down, but having three cities in the top ten is embarrassing. No wonder my Polish wife is begging to move back to Poland and live there.

Anyway, are you shocked with the list? Does your home country have any cities on the list that you're surprised or not surprised to see?

I'd really be keen to hear from a UK citizen on here on just how things are compared to say, 20 or 30 years ago over there and how it's changed.

"ctrl+f : poland" none. That's how it should be.

Which is why my wife wants to go back home and live in Jelenia Góra.

Whenever we go back to Jelenia Góra, or visit another city in Poland, like Wrocław or Warszawa, we both feel incredibly safe. Jelenia Góra is not totally crime free, but I always feel comfortable walking around that town at any time of the day and never feel on edge or in danger. I can't say the same for any UK town or City.

Honestly, as someone who has been to Poland at least once a year (minus 2020) for 19 years, I can say that Poland is like heaven on earth compared to the UK.

More dangerous than parts of Ukraine that are affected by war...

Legitimately insane how these globalist organizations were able to psiop the west into civilizational self destruction. And things aren't changing anytime soon.

If you have kids, leaving is a no-brainer. The direction of travel is so obvious at this point I would say you have a parental responsibility to get them out.

If you don't have kids, then do whatever you feel like.

From the article:

Good call. I added that line into the OP.

That doesn't mean the list is meaningless — but it means we should interpret it carefully. From my own experience with Birmingham (I visit family a lot there and am a blue nose), I would say that I feel less safe in Birmingham than the European cities I've visited in recent years including Rome, Barcelona, Milan and Paris.

I think perception matters. if many residents feel unsafe, that affects quality of life, people's behaviour, investment, tourism, migration decisions, even if "hard" crime rates are low. I also think this kind of survey can capture aspects that official statistics miss like threats that go unreported, public disorder, harassment, or a general environment that feels unsafe. In 2019 I had my phone robbed in Brum (pick pocket). I didn't report it to the police because what would be the point? There would be no way at all for them to track down the offender and fine my phone, so it became another unreported crime.

Time for Americans to pretend that Europe has worse crime than the USA again. The post industrial parts of the UK have some pretty gnarly neglect though. Nothing that surprising compared to the USA but Germany really worked much harder to redevelop neglected regions.

I'd be very disappointed if Naples wasn't in the top 10.

But Turin at 24? Didn't expect that, but thinking about it, the city has been flooded with migrants from Eastern Europe and Africa in the last 20 years and they've pretty much taken possession of entire neighborhoods. There's also a pretty strong Chinese presence, although you rarely hear about them.

I wonder how much these numbers have been influenced by the UK grooming gangs scandal. It seems like the broken trust that generated has had an outsized impact on people's perceptions?

Naples has always been a dump.

I just learned Dnipro is also a city..not just one of the 2 best assault rifles in Stalker 2

Not a single german city yay.

Btw i think its absolutely WILD how all these european cities are more dangerous than 2 cities from a country that is AT WAR with russia. WILD.

It´s not the city that´s dangerous, it´s men.
Also: For women, their home is even more dangerous.

This announcement was brought to you by the UK governement.

Hmm...no Denmark, Finland or Norway in that list. Peculiar. Swedes must just have more of those violent viking genes than the rest.

I would have thought the list is only cities in eastern Ukraine.

I added this to the OP, but this is about crime, but rather crime reporting, it's based on survey results from people living in European cities. What's interesting is that as Bojji Bojji pointed out, when you look at the actual crime figures, you see the same cities listed.

Cities in Ukraine are dangerous because there is a war happening there, which is why they're not on the list.

I really ballsed up this thread. I should have been more clear. Why do I post threads when I'm half drunk?

Boy, never thought I would see a day when Western Europeans would be simping for Poland, Jelenia Góra out of all places.

Born and lived in Bradford my whole life. There are some okay parts: Saltaire and Bingley near to where I live, but the rest is largely a third world shithole, particularly the place where I work in Manningham. I'd say going from Saltaire to Manningham is probably more perilous than Frodo's journey in Lord of the Rings.

Nothing wrong with that. The best RedLetterMedia videos are when they are blackout drunk lol. The fact that a Scandinavian country is even on that list is insane. These are supposed to be countries that are at the very least as safe as Poland. It will likely take decades before Sweden solves their problems. In some places the clan based criminal structures have even infiltrated some judicial systems. I can imagine that Malmö would have these same problems either now or in the near future.

I know.

When my wife first moved to the UK, she had no plans to move back to Poland, yet over the past few years the idea of living in Poland is far more appealing due to how the qulaity of life has gone down in the town we live in. Yes, places like Bath or a village in the Cotswolds are nice to live in, but unless you're a millionaire then that's out of the question. I live in a supposed well off area in my town, yet just a few days ago an 18 year old was stabbed near a park. Stabbed by a group of kids riding around on electric bikes and wearing balaclavas. These kids rule this area and my town overall and the police do fuck all about it. In the same area that I live in the past few years we've had stabbings (one kid lost his life, but was also carrying a blade), beatings, burglaries and a member of the public finding a bag in a bush containing a gun. This is all in the last 5 years. Before that, crime was almost non-existent in my area, at least enough to not be aware of it. Now it's safe to walk around at night.

Regarding Jelenia Góra, sure there are places in Poland that are better to live, but it is my wife's home town and a second home to me. I feel more at peace there than when I'm in the UK. It's also a beautiful town with some stunning scenery. It blows away most places in the UK, that's for sure. Tell me, would you rather live there, or live in Bradford, Birmingham, Plymouth, Swindon, Nottingham, London, Bristol, Luton, Derby etc etc.

I think we both know the answer to that.

Also, are you Polish? I thought you were English?

I'm planning on vacationing in Poland in the near future. Do you have a recommendation for any other place than Warsaw? Due to recent events I no longer have any desire to visit France, Spain, Germany or Italy. UK is a borderline case, but it'd probably be on the west coast in some little rural village with castles and great pubs.

For Poland, I'd always recommend Kraków. A beautiful historical city and from there, you can also visit the The Wieliczka Salt Mine and of course, Auschwitz (not in Kraków, but you can get a train or bus which is around an hour) - If you do go, make sure you book online tickets to the salt mine and Auschwitz.

Zakopane is also stunning and worth a visit.

If you visit the UK, then yeah, I would suggest the west of England (Cornwall, Devon, Sommerset, Cotswolds) and Wales. Scotland is also worth a visit, especially the Isle of Skye. You'll find plenty of pubs and castles in these areas.

I also wouldn't rule out Germany, France, Italy or Spain. They're still worth visiting.

How accurate is this from the movie?

Leaving to where mate? Argentina is the only White country left in the Americas for me. I was denied Australian citizenship cause my English is not good enough.

Poland for OP, with his existing connection. Sorry to hear you couldn't go to Aus.

'Where to?' is the difficult question ofc, as Western civilisation has invited its own destruction everywhere. The US would probably be my preference for somewhere to try to escape to, if I had kids to worry about.
