Was there ever a point to that movie?

OH, I just REMEMBERED about one movie I saw a LOOOONG time ago.
Its not like the SALO or Canibal stuff but...
It was probably one of THE most TRIPPIEST movies I ever seen.
this was back in my highschool days, and I got high as hell one day, fell asleep...woke up, turned on the TV and this movie came on HBO.

And my mind got FUCKED hard...

il never forget this movie, cause it was probably the most strangest movie Ive EVER seen.

I always wanted to watch it again just to analyze it and see what the hell the point of the movie was.

anyone else seen this?

No, but it is possibly amongst the worst films ever made.

José Mojica Marins, on the other hand, totally rocks. Coffin Joe!!
That's the guy I read about. Apparently he got a dog (Alsatian if I remember correctly) to have sex with a women. The women's husband then killed the dog due to jealousy. o_0
He also tried his hand as a politician or was elected but never signed in. Or something- though I might have gotten confused with another director.

Heh, yeah, he was directing extreme porn so he could get by. They showed a few of his films on SBS a little while back, I think they'll do so again soon.

I think I saw the ad for it- was thinking about staying up to watch it but went to sleep instead.
I say American Psycho btw but I guess this is small potatoes :lol

I saw Doom Generation when I was 10 or thereabouts. I've been trying to find a copy since so I can make sense of it.

And a question:

How does Cannibal Ferox compare to Cannibal Holocaust? I've seen Ferox, and it was meh.

Fclvat sbe Pnanqn, ru?
I've seen most of the titles mentioned, more then are mentioned in the Movies that don't get boring no matter... topic. Holy Mountain was one of the weirdest, totally wacky how they simulated the Spanish conquistadores battling the native civilizations - with frogs as actors.

Man Bites Dog, Audition, Irreversible (though I didn't impress me as a movie), Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, Das Experiment, Battle Royale (not the graphical violence, but the concept shocked me when I watched it), Lilya-4ever (just because it's so sad) come to mind.

Also, lots of great reccomendations in this topic on IMDB, I almost forgot Jacob's Ladder and Un Chien Andalou.

Well recently, it'd have to be Mullholland Drive. As the movie progressed I kept thinking to myself "OK, the story will soon become clearer", but by the end of it I had no fucking idea what the hell went on. I tried following the "clues" written inside the DVD case, but it still left me scratching my head. Someone please fill me in on what exactly I sat through.

PS: The lezo and the Naomi masturbation scenes were pretty cool though. ;)

What about using a NSFW tag on the thread title or at least not linking the most disturbing images? I think I've lost a good customer thanks to the first pic, I am not happy at all.

Funny Games
I think a lot of people might like this one, about a family on holiday who are tortured by a couple of teenagers with their sick games. The portrayal of the teenagers is very believable, particularly unsettling if you were the kind of kid who picked the wings off a fly when you were a kid.

Trouble Every Day

This had a short theatrical run in the US, but I don't think it ever was released on DVD/VHS. At face value, the movie is about "oversexed cannibals" but there’s more to it than that. The movie has an awesome soundtrack done by Tindersticks.

Another Cronenberg movie. I didn't like it much when I saw it a couple years ago. It falls in line with some of the other things mentioned.

Finally bought a new PSP, but then pushed the demon onto someone else. Jesus.
Less than Zero (due to the age in which I saw it) and Caliglia spring to mind.

I've heard of it but never actually saw Ferox and I was told by the guy that lent me Cannibal Holocaust that Holocaust was the better Cannibal film, whatever the hell that means. I can only imagine what he meant by better. Infact it was my mention of Ferox in a conversation that led to me eventually borrowing Holocaust.

Sorry about that. I was thinking about tagging a warning on the title, but I suppose it's too late now unless a mod wants to do it for me.

Is "Saw" a joke compared to these?

Saw is a Disney film in comparison.

Then how did you feel about I <3 Huckabees?

TITTY MILK FROM JUDE LAW!

Also, Gozu fucking rocks. One of my favorite Miike flicks.

Haven't seen I <3 Huckabees, sounds... fun.

Gozu was pretty good, I just didn't have a fucking clue what was going on. The best part of the film was the POP! noise during THAT scene, I laughed so much.

Probably a bit tame compared to some of the stuff in this thread but the murder sequence in this is profoundly disturbing.

:lol

I saw this on HBO one night about a year or so ago. My friend and I were saying "what the fuck?!" every other minute.

Good thread - I haven't seen Salo yet but I've seen Cannibal Holocaust a few times and all the other usual suspects like Last House On The Left, Blood-Sucking Freaks, I Spit On Your Grave etc and out of all of the shock and expolitation flicks I've seen I'd have to say Cannical Holocaust is my favourite - imo it's actually a really good movie and the rough parts all belong in the context of the plot. It's heaps suspenseful.

Ichi and Ricky O are pretty gory but it doesnt seem to have as much shock impact in an action film setting.

I don't remember Ferox being as gory or as good a movie as Holocaust.

I've got Irreversible here to watch but havent got around to it, I'm not into those movies so much anymore.

I just saw Last House on the Left for the first time last year. I thought it was more funny than disturbing. It's silly to the point of being like a John Waters movie. Speking of which

polyester_desperate_living.jpg

Awesome 2 pack. Desperate Living is the better movie, but the cover for Polyester makes me laugh no matter how many times I look at the case.

Female Trouble is his best, behind Pink Flamingos. PF is the ultimate depraved classic.

Favorite scene: Raymond is running through a park flashing people. He runs up to a chick and opens his coat, revealing his shtuff. The chick, looking unimpressed, lifts up her dress and revelas a cock.

Oh, yeah, there's also the barbecue/party scene, which includes mental images I have since blocked out.

And the chicken sex scene. The chicken is alive at the beginning of the scene, iirc. It's not at the end.

Rather than make a new thread, I thought it'd be better to post here.

I just finished Audition. Would someone please explain WTF I just watched? I can't make any sense of it.

Mulholland Drive is not that hard to understand.
The first part of the movie is a dream, containing elements of Naomi Watt's characters life. It's sort of a look at herself inside a dream... dreaming a life she wish she had as an actress (in real life, she's a failed actress whose lover has abandoned her for a movie director). Then she wakes up, and it sort of tells the true story of her life where eventually she goes insane after having Laura Harring killed off and she kills herself.
However, Eraserhead and Lost Highway are the true mind-fuck movies from David Lynch. Mulholland Drive is tame compared to these movies.

Well, they don't count in retrospect - but when I was a toddler, these movies f@cked with me maaaaaan.

Holy shit! It was Midnight, I was five or six, there was a storm outside and I had to let my godfather out because my family had fallen asleep. Respect the Borgnine, or suffer the consequences!

B00000IBRK.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg

I was so scared I stopped watching it.

6300269698.01._PE_SCMZZZZZZZ_.jpg

Another one I stopped watching. I was terrified.

My family did a superb job of raising a completely paranoid child. I was convinced I was going to die in a Nuclear inferno, or that if I survived that, we would surely fall victim to the Earth plummeting into the Sun in the year 2000.

I still bolt out of bed and hold my last breath when the airshow is in town and those f@ckers are taking practice runs over my neighborhood. OH NO! THE MISSILES ARE COMING!

And that is why I have such great contempt for my relatives.

Also, I watched Salo last week.

Terrible movie. Didn't shock me ore anything. I don't know what they were trying to accomplish with the film, but it came out as utter trash. The move "shocking" thing was the constant assfucking, which didn't even phase me.

The only shocking thing I have really seen was Un Chien Andalou, and by looking at this thread I'm glad it is.
