The most humerous game?

Psychonauts.

The game got progressively wierder and funnier as the game went on but even then one of the best lines come in early.

"You'll have plenty of time to stand around when you're dead!"

Edit: "Oh no Gogglor! Not the Mattress Factory!"
:lol That whole level was awesome.
"OH thank God he missed the orphanage!!"
"Oh no, there it goes..."

The cop and rebels dialogue had me rolling...and the concept of being a monster + the environments made it all the sweeter.

But I just realized there was nothing in the OP about it necessarily being a recent game... so I'll also toss in a nod to Skullmonkeys (PS1) and Panic! (Sega CD).
Well, it's the funniest one I could remember off the top of my head.

:lol

And I've just found out that the "what is a man" stuff is a real quotation. And the guy who said it has quite a few good ones that would have worked well with the game

edit: Psychonauts has tons of good dialogue when you enter a level you've already beaten. The conversation Raz has with the cows in Waterloo World had me rolling

Edit two: Your words are as empty as your soul!

I also find the humor in the Grand Theft Auto radio parodies to be top notch (particulary on San Andreas and Vice City).

MGS2 had me in stitches, after a few hours the colonel goes nuts with his codecs and some of the shit he says is ridiculous.

The Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy by Infocom is still the funniest game I have ever played. I even think it is more witty and energetic than the book.

That is a element that lacks a lot, the only games that comes to my mind from this gen is the simpsons hit and run, Serious sam and some parts from KoTOR.

Text-based games FTW

Two player Fight Night 2004. I'm not even a fan of sports games, but this game is great once you really learn how to play. Controls are simple as hell too. The funny part is the knockouts. The way that their body's just collapse after getting sucker-punched is hilarious.

Phoenix Wright (the first 4 cases)

"I'd like to see her pull it off"

"Oh, i bet you are thinking "I'd like to see her pull it off". Mr Wright, so many men have stood before me and said they thought i couldn't pull it off, but i try and try, and i always manage it"

(or something to that akin)

Leet speak +
cross examining the parrot
= funniest game in years..
