Not very well at all.

And unrelated to that, but I gotta call BS on the conclusion here tbh.
I knew the south would be the most concentrated but I'm surprised by how thinly people are spread out over the rest of this map.

No, I strongly disagree that I just got unlucky and met a few "bored dudes" looking for an easy target. Would those comments have been made if I had been the same color as my fiancee? Of course not.

Except they would? You're gonna have to defer to my experience now, cause I grew up seeing this kinda thing. I've been harassed, insulted, assaulted and jumped. It didn't matter if you were black, or white, or asian, or hispanic. Anyone who they perceived as an easy target was fair game.

Except in this day and age, there are examples every year of killings and beatings that occur while these hateful, disrespectful labels such as "cracker" and "white boy/girl" are tossed around. I google searched for just 1 minute and found a couple from 2014 --- both from Cleveland, funny enough (maybe that is why they are one of the most racist areas of America?):

and a part of a book, "Experiencing Racism: Exploring Discrimination through the Eyes of College Students":

White Cracker Day ----- I guess that is a thing at many school and perpetuates to this day. Google it.

I could spend all night coming up with examples, but will leave that to you on your own time if you would like proof.

There may not be lynching explicitly happening, but as I said, it is just as disrespectful and hate-filled as the N-word in this day and age.

What is this supposed to prove? That black people have called white people crackers? No one's disputing that. Hey look, here's a lady calling a black man nigger. Guess there's obviously there's something wrong with the people in upstate NY, huh?

I don't know what's going on in the first thing. Maybe this girl and her entire family is racist, and maybe there's more to the story since this seems to be part of some sort of ongoing problem between them and the neighbors. The army vet wasn't "savagely beaten," he's actually said he's disappointed that the media framed it that way and that the teens were "ignorant." In fact, in that same clip they also show a black kid who was attacked in the same area. Like I said, anyone's fair game.

The girl writing about her experience in 7th grade (also not beaten, at all), says "there were constant fights everyday between each ethnic group." I did some googling as you suggested, and this "white cracker day" seems like yet another bogeyman to push the "blacks are violent and scary and after whites" narrative, like the knockout game. There's a grand total of 2 news stories on it (and if this were even remotely a thing, there'd certainly be a juicy media frenzy), nothing on youtube, twitter, urban dictionary.. it mostly seems to figure as an myth, and maybe some kind of thing in a couple of schools in Florida. Hardly the widespread, nationwide thing you seem to imply that it is. Now before you go googling for some crime statistics copypasta or something (or find examples of people who were actually beaten or killed), let me just nip this in the bud and say yeah, even discounting the whole media frenzy angle, you could "spend all night" coming up with legitimate examples as it's not hard to find examples of black on white crime, simply because there are way more white people than black people, among other reasons. Let me also trot out that old chestnut, there's far more crime against other blacks than against whites.

How about instead of just taking random examples and guessing at intent, you take a look at the FBI's hate crime statistics for the last couple of years? It's been fairly consistent-incidents with anti-white bias hover in the teens, low 20s, while anti-black bias is in the 60s and 70s. I'm getting ahead of myself, but the point is, as a whole you keep trying to frame this as a modern epidemic of purposefully black on white crime, when in reality in 90% of the cases, it's just crime.

Not explicitly lynching? Really, go look up some of those postcards I mentioned and see if you feel like it's remotely comparable.

The bolded part above really bothers me --- I won't entertain it further.

Yes, yes I have spoken at great lengths with my wife about this. For many years. While I can't experience the things that she has experienced, we do understand each other and agree that there are significant issues "on both sides", with the things that I am pointing out in this thread being a very serious one that is for the most part ignored and/or given a free pass.

I only bring this up because "I'm in an interracial relationship" gives weight to your opinions only because it's supposed to imply "I've gained insight into this that others haven't." Yet so far from you I've only heard the same uniformed, solipsistic things that you can read the internet over from the white perspective: "cracker is a slur just as bad as nigger, calling someone a racist is just as bad as being racist, what about black on white crime." I'm not arguing that there aren't any problems within the black community, but what you seem to be consistently ignoring is the degree and severity of one "side" which absolutely dwarfs the other "side." You're ignoring that one's an elephant and the other's a tennis ball.
