Just grab another copy from where ever(if you have the funds), play it, and when your copy arrives return it to where you bought you second copy since it will be sealed.

Amazon swears my Wii U version will get here today, despite not charging me yet or shipping it.
We'll see. I might end up just downloading the game and just returning the Amazon copy and eating the lost money. I thought about going to a store to get the game and doing a switcheroo later with the Amazon copy, but no stores around me have a copy according to online tracking.

I got my Switch (and even a pro controller that I missed preorders on 
) last night from the launch event. Downloaded Shovel Knight and Fast RMX.
Weather happened to Zelda from Amazon though... not entirely sure if I'll get it in time. I'm tempted to try and get another copy after work depending on what Amazon tells me.

I'm in the Seattle area, but my Amazon shipment is coming from Indiana and is not scheduled to arrive til Monday. So much for release day delivery.
Really dislike posts like this. The couple of days would matter if you were working towards this. I for example was working extra to save up for it and specifically requested those days off. If it was delayed through the fault of an supplier despite doing everything right on my end I would be LIVID. This goes double for those who were working a stressful/hated job and was looking forward to this weekend as a nice release. If your situation is like this and you don't mind that's fine but I think others who are in said sucky situation like this deserve to vent a little.
Likewise, bro. Depending on the gray market for Switch in Brazil is painful at best. One of the most trustworthy of these had botched the pricing beyond any repair: the first batch is Switch + Zelda for... R$ 2.700,00 (for reference, that's about US$ 865).

Amazon just cancelled my Switch.
contact amazon and at least make them compensate you for the terrible fuck up

OP, I understand your frustration but you need to channel it in the right place. It's good that you took the time to vent, but now take that energy and call Best Buy. If you were supposed to get release day delivery and they failed on their part of that deal, you might be able to get a gift card or something.
Just give them a call, tell them you're really disappointed and hope they can make it up to you. It's also worth noting to just not be a dick. The person on the phone didn't delay your package and they're there to help you. It's not unreasonable at all to expect them to compensate you for failing to deliver.

I preordered the moment it went up on Amazon and apparently now my switch is coming tomorrow, Saturday. So pissed right now. Especially since it's usps and that means I'm probably waiting until Monday at the earliest. Fml!

This happened to me here in the UK, my order said due for delivery today but wasn't dispatched at 10am so I contacted customer services who confirmed I wouldn't get it.
Absolute shambles, it was saying arriving March 3rd for months.
I complained and got £30 credit, not before they tried to give me one from a third-party seller from another country..!

And just think about the fact that you're gonna get the Switch and Zelda anyway, where some other people can't even afford it in the first place.

"As I see your order is in advanced stages of shipping, I expect it will be dispatched and shipped out soon.
As per the notes on the order, I expect it to be delivered by today, however there can be a possible delay of one day. The maximum delay, can be it will arrive by tomorrow"
Sooooo, basically what I was able to deduce looking at my shipping confirmation. Annoying for sure, but if it at least arrives sometime tomorrow I'm not that pissed about it I guess. Better than having my order outright cancelled I suppose.

Best Buy sent me an email telling me my shipment was delayed until tomorrow and another immediately after saying I will receive it today. I don't know which to believe.

This seems to be the case for quite a lot of people. No idea what's up with Amazon. I ordered my system, Zelda, and a Pro Controller from Gamestop and it all shipped and is now out for delivery, but I ordered Bomberman and a case from Amazon and it has been sitting at "preparing for shipment" for like three days now. It's still possible that these items will go out and be delivered today, but I won't be surprised if they aren't. Something seems to be up with Nintendo and Amazon again...I have ordered and received other products from them without a problem throughout this week.
You'll be fine most likely.
When I lived in NYC I would have packages not marked as shipped till like 2-3PM and it would get there by EOD.
