Amazon Japan apparently thinks I live in Richmond even though my address was entered perfectly on their site. Thank goodness I caught it and changed it on DHLs end.

Amazon still says "shipping today" with a "delivery by 8pm" for both my Switch and Zelda Special. I highly doubt either of these things will happen.
This is probably the most disjointed console launch I've ever experienced.

My Amazon order shipped but is due for tomorrow I guess. Yesterday it was still on track for the 3rd, but according to chat there were "supply issues" that caused delays.
Yeah, I'll be getting some credit out of this for sure lol I still remember I got something like $40 out of my SE Zero Time Dilemma order that got delayed

One thing gamestop stores has always been solid on for me is preordering. Im too woried about random issues like this when preordering something online.
Seems like they overbook their preorders then clean it up later. Rather just go to a GS and ask "Am I guaranteed day one?" and only once in a hundred preorders did a fuck up occur.

Not for Switch, but Zelda Wii U got delayed to Monday by Amazon. I don't really mind since I haven't finished NieR: Automata yet, but still, I would have liked to have it sooner.

I ended up buying a Switch in person at a Best Buy midnight launch. I'll return the one that arrives Monday. I'm shocked that I got one but there were like 50+ extra consoles in addition to those that were preordered.
Seriously. I was just told via Amazon chat that I wasn't "qualified" for release date delivery.
My Switch has been "preparing for shipment" on Amazon since yesterday but it says it'll get here today.
Normally I would be worried, but this exact same situation happened with my copy of SMT IV Apocalypse and I still got that on release day as promised, so I think things will be okay.

They've been really shitty about that lately. Don't guarantee release date if you can't make it and won't be offering your customers any compensation.
They've done this to me twice with games and one time had to gall to say "we don't ship until it's released".

So I emailed Amazon about my order and they said that something had ben preventing it from being shipped, but they fixed it because of my email and it will ship soon, but it won't show up until tomorrow. I'm in MA, it will be shipping from NJ. I'll update you if it ever actually ships.

Fuck amazon. Still hasn't shipped. Just went to best buy and they had a plethora. Picked up a neon console and zelda (free poster too).

I got a transit delay notice from Best Buy about one of the Switches I preordered too. Does anyone have any experience with complaining and if so have you gotten anything out of it?
My Switch from Amazon is out for Delivery via UPS but my Zelda was sent via USPS. It's also scheduled to arrive today but USPS makes me nervous.

Looks like I won't have the Switch until tomorrow and possibly until Monday. Kind of regret not keeping my BB order... only canceled it for a Gaffer's Amazon order because I'm saving a ton in transportation by not having to go pick it up.
I hate thread shitting replies like this. We know it's a couple of days, that it's a non-vital consumer product and that it's a minor issue in the grand scheme of life. But "there are bigger problems out there" is not a valid response in practically any thread. It's a perfectly normal reaction to vent when a retailer like Amazon ropes in many people to buying from them on the promise of launch day delivery and then fails to keep that promise. No one is jumping off a building over this. It's just annoying as fuck.

First MediaMarkt sent me an email saying they would contact me when they could fulfill my pre-order. Tried to call them with no luck, and the online chat representative "reassured me" by saying I should hear something in a few days....
Resigned myself to not having a Switch to play this weekend, and now I've just had an SMS telling me my switch is ready for collection from my local store!
Drinking a coffee, then off I go!

Amazon fucked up on my end too - "Package damaged in transit and will be returned to seller, refund processed in 2-3 days" - the seller is Amazon, the delivery is Prime delivery.
First time I've ever seen this happen to a package from them. Heck I didn't even see the package as there was no delivery attempt - they just sort of said "oh fuck it, we'll just refund you"

My Amazon order says it is arriving today on their website, but when I track it the order shows arriving tomorrow on the USPS website. Don't know who is right...
My preorder still has yet to ship from Amazon. They recently added one-day shipping in my area (including weekends, which is cool). However, they cannot ship my order using that method and so I'll have to wait until next week which is lame.

reordering for me.I didn't want to post in this thread, but I got an email from UPS saying they're delivering my Switch on Monday despite Amazon saying it'll be here by the end of today. Don't know who to trust, but I expect UPS to be more up to date than Amazon. I'm royally pissed off. I went to great pains taking today off, and Monday and all of next week are absolutely horrendous for me.

I had a separate item yesterday saying the same, delivered today by 8pm. I was home at by 8:30pm, nothing, but checked again at 10, and the box was outside. Have faith, amazon has some off delivery hours sometimes, and they have never failed me yet.

Same boat here, and the frustrating thing to me is that it shipped early this morning, yet they went with 2 day delivery. It's like they didn't even make an attempt to get it here on the 3rd, which is what my order status was claiming all along.

Sometimes there is an issue in the system where something is scanned as delivered before being delivered. I'd call them. If anything, then.. report that it was reported delivered but not. They will open an investigation.
