Since Netflix is all the rage on the 360, let's get some recommendations going.

Here are some streamable movies in I highly recommend:

1. Memories of Murder
2. Next Friday

4. No Country for Old Men

Remember, only movies/television that can be streamed on the 360. Don't play with our hopes but naming a movie that's in tangible form only.

Example: The Lives of Others does not work on 360.

Ive just been catching up on TV mostly

1. 30 rock(tv show)
2. Miami Vice(Tv show)
3. James and the Giant peach(movie)

The full version of Grindhouse including trailers is up. Not the best movies, but they aren't available anywhere else in this format.

Off the top of my head:

The Lives of Others
The Diving Bell & The Butterfly
Taxi to the Dark Side
Ratatouille
Silence of the Lambs
Crazy Love
Reprise
L.I.E.
Pan's Labyrinth

The Lives of Others is an incredible movie, i recommend that everyone check it out.

God, as a Canadian I'm really thinking about doing the hack to get netflix on my box but I don't want to get in shit with them sending movies/statements to the fake US address.

I watched Toxic Avenger last night, and it was bad fucking ass. The quality was as good as the DVD released in 2001 (which isn't as good as the newer DVD, but still!) and this was on a Gerry-rigged connection to Live via an Ethernet cable connected to my Macbook connectedto my wi-fi network. Oh God I love that movie.

If Toxic Agenger 4 is available, stream that too.

Movie recommendations whether they be Netflix, Blu-Ray or DVD belong in OT.

I know, but I couldn't decide where to put this thread. Keep in mind that NXE has spearheaded this new rush to Netflix subs.

From the size of this thread sure doesn't look like it.

Besides, PS3 has spearheaded 10M+ worth of Blu-Ray sales.

Still belongs in OT.

If you are not going to contribute then please, GTFO.

If it needs to get moved, it'll get moved.

"NXE"

I think it's pretty obvious that this belongs in the gaming discussion.

EDIT: Do they have the old Mission Impossible tv show on Netflix?

Friday Night Lights Season 1.

Shouldn't need to get moved as not all of Netflix's streaming library is streamable through NXE.

It's a documentary about a third-grade class monitor election in China. It's actually interesting on a few levels--it's a democratic process for kids raised in a communist government (there's a quick interview really early on with a little girl that makes it clear just how foreign stuff like class elections are to them), and it's amazing how differently all three kids approach the election. It's also interesting to see the impact the parents have on the kids, and the campaign. And also I learned it's totally okay for little kids in China to hit each other at school, apparently.

It's interesting, and exactly the kind of thing I'd never gave gotten around to watching if I had to physically obtain a copy.

Also, Primer. Decent take on the whole time-travel concept

I saw this on BBC4 this week, it's fantastic.

Oh fuck. Everybody needs to watch the Fisher King.

Edit: Dammit. I'm sorry. I got so excited when I saw it I didn't even think about double checking whether it could be streamed or not...

Glad to hear you liked it, I just added that today. It's short too, isn't it? Only an hour or so, I believe.

It says "Not available on Xbox" on the website. :( Same with Close Encounters, Baron Munchausen, It Happened One Night... :(

I saw this on SBS (Aussie station) last week, it's a real eye opener. The fat kid was a terror, stopping at nothing to make his opponents look bad :lol. And yes the pressure the parents inflict on the kids is astounding.

edit: Another primer fan :D. I love that movie, it's my favourite time travel movie of all time, and it was made on a budget of around $10,000 if my memory serves me correctly.

Also, some movies aren't available for streaming to a 360. It would probably be a good idea to omit those from any lists as well.

Here's a few good ones I came across when looking around:

Deliverance
Scarface
Alien
Aliens
Falling Down
Strange Brew
Bull Durham
