The full version of Grindhouse including trailers is up. Not the best movies, but they aren't available anywhere else in this format.

minor Correction the Starz channel(dish network) shows it like that with fake commercials and the movies back to back.

I'm appalled, GAF. No Red Dwarf? Shame.

Red Dwarf seasons 1-8
Akira
Ratatouille
Beetlejuice
Dirty Harry
The Legend of Zelda Complete Series
Big Trouble in Little China
Tank Girl
Soylent Green
Mars Attacks!
Scarface
The Addams Family volume 1
Eraserhead

Ah, it's thanks to this service that I was finally able to get around to watching the Ghost in the Shell: SAC movie, Solid State Society. It reminded me how damn awesome the series was.

+1 Netflix

I was surprised by how much I liked Swingtown.

It was a CBS Summer series originally pitched to HBO who passed. Alan Poul, one of the Six Feet Under guys produces, directs and writes some of the eps.

The show takes place in a 1970s Chicago swingers community. You can see how it would have been fairly hot as an HBO show, but it's pretty damn good anyway. Some great casting too.

Stop Making Sense
The Song Remains the Same
Hell Up in Harlem
Little Shop of Horrors
The Candidate
QUANTUM LEAP s1-4 (not all streaming, but still....!)

i just spent the last 3 days watching 24 episodes of heros as gears of war 2 sat there unopened. i wasn't expecting to get that into it. i had heard of the series but never seen it before.

that's the 1st time i ever got a game i was dying to play and not play it because of something else.

oh and "They Live"

I watched Ratatouille and it was much better than I remember.

Actually to be honest it was the best animated movie I've seen in a LONG time.

Also watch Fawlty Towers if you haven't and are a fan of comedy. It's only streaming until December 1st.

I just watched Overnight, documentary about the writer/director/giant fucking asshole behind Boondock Saint.

It is absolutely entertaining to watch a massive prick get exactly what he deserves.

You are correct. It's actually offered on Netflix because of the recent partnership with Starz.

KING OF KONG, gamers. Very entertaining whether you're a gamer or not, actually.

Yeah, I thought this one was outstanding. I don't often get into documentaries, but for the entire second half of this movie I was rooting for the guy to "win" as much as I would in a Rocky movie. Plus it features several awesome songs from 80s movies.

Fear of a Black Hat

yes.

fucking yes.

Best black film of all time. It's a shame so few people have seen it. It's the black man's Spinal Tap, only every single one of the jokes are SO relevant even today.

however be warned...for some fuck reason they censored it.

They cut off every word but n-----, bitch, and ass. It's fucking strange.

also:
Thunderbolt
Breaking News
Scratch

seconded.
You have good taste.
I didn't know they offered It Happened One Night. Those old classics always amaze me that the comedy is better than most of the current shit. I feel like an old nostalgic man.

That crazy bastard in the car who is singing
"People in love are often very hungy!" or whatever that song was...:lol

I'm gonna add a lot of those that I missed based on your reccomendation. Anybody with the ones I underlined is alright with me.

I still don't understand why some movies are 4:3?

In some cases it's because of bandwidth issues or source material (some movies or documentaries might be old and recorded in 4:3). In other cases it's probably because of licensing issues. I guess it's cheaper to get the 4:3 version than 16:9.

more suggestions that I'm sure others have gotten because I'm slow:
Read or Die
Once Upon a Time in China
The Thing
The Man with Two Brains

Rushmore
It Happened One Night
Fear of a Black Hat

I think that covers all the bases.

MOVIES THAT CAN BE STREAMED ONLY

Imagine my suprise when I tried to add Rushmore to my queue.

However, since you've said Fear of a Black Hat I will say CB4.
