It's not that I don't believe those folks; it's just better for my sanity to focus on the one date on the calendar when we know Nintendo will say something about NX, as opposed to reading tea leaves about the specific date and time this week.
So good it was given a second arrangement and made Japan exclusive.
And where is the fun in that?

I've got a friend who works for NOE(I really do) who says he hasn't received any email regarding this. That's not to say it didn't go out to NOA etc. But I think he's high enough up that he would have heard.
Pretty much same here. What we know of it I'm pleased with. The games are what counts most.

We'll have investor's meeting soon so I think it'd be matter of weeks or days anyway.
I have a lot of curiosity about the console, but you are right, games are the most important. If the games aren't good, that wouldn't make me buy the console, but the opposite could happen, I have a Wii U and even if it's underpowered, it has great games, I love it.

I don't see why they couldn't have an announcement of an announcement and talk about the Pokemon demo the same day.
Obviously the actual reveal day is going to be clear from other Nintendo news.

I'm pretty sure he knows what's going on, he works in marketing so I'd be very surprised if he hadn't been given timelines for comms etc. On the other side of that he wouldn't say a word about what's going on internally and I wouldn't push to be honest.
Just want to add this is all complete conjecture on my part he may well know nothing, but I've worked on product launches before and you generally keep marketing up to date. But again I could be completely wrong!

To me what will happen is that this Friday they'll announce the name of the console and an NX focused Direct for Tuesday 25 where they'll finally reveal shape, features, dates and launch titles for it, wouldn't bet about a price announcement, though it could be possible If they want to take advantage of holiday season to start preorders

Maybe if we all believe together hard enough the NX will materialize. Maybe It was Nintendo's plan all along. To make us realize that wht was important was being surrounded by friends in life, not a videogame console. Maybe that's what NX is, the friendship which grew while we were busy looking elsewhere...

FWIW, it's unclear if he was referring to only 2D Mario, only 3D Mario, or both, but at E3 this year Miyamoto hinted we wouldn't see the new take on Mario until the next E3 at the earliest.
