Generally speaking, you're right (from experience) - and if he's high up enough he'll know. It's usually the people 1/2 or more steps down from senior positions who tend to be kept in the dark when it comes to high profile comms like this.

I guess if i want to play games on it that don't come from Nintendo i will be dissapointed :(

Well judging by this thread, a lot of people's expectations are through the roof. It's no doubt going to dissapoint a lot of people.

So my prediction is:

Direct will be announced tomorrow (or maybe still today. there's still enough time left) and then the Direct with the reveal is on Friday.

Then next week we will get even more information about NX after the Investors meeting.

Yeah. Maybe it will have a crazy Nintendo twist, but power expectations should be kept severely in check. Nintendo isn't about that (anymore anyways).
 
I'd like to propose a title for the inevitable Direct/Reveal thread, whenever it should happen

It would be pretty amusing if the NX reveal date, or even the reveal itself, was literally simultaneous with the RDR2 announcement. Perfect symbol of the state of Nintendo's Western third-party relations.

Are you just ignoring the logic and the facts?

Nintendo doesn't play by the rules set by others, but they play by their own set rules. Their not a living organism randomly acting, they're still a corporation.
 
Apparently the Read Dead Trailer will be on Tuesday.

NX Reveal this week.

Obviously what is happening here is the trailer will be part of Nintendo's Conference on the 20th.
 
From what I remember major announcements are around 10 am EDT. I don't think we should expect anything before then, whether today, tomorrow, Thursday, Friday, infinity...
