Such a surreal experience deleting this show from my DVR. It's been there from the beginning.

I felt that way with LOST, too. The Office is the first entry on my PVR record list. :( I need a rewatch. It's been too long since I've seen the first five seasons.

I'm gonna make a thread next week. Every Thursday we watch another ep. From the beginning.

Heheh, I keep telling her she looks a little like Jenna Fischer... her and angela came up and talked with us and the resemblance was crazy... wish I had taken a pic of them two side by side.

Here's some more pics just cuz I'm feeling sentimental.

Did you post these same pics in a previous season thread? For some reason I seem to remember you and your wife with Jim...

Pretty good feel good ending. Man, what a great, moving show this was in its prime. Starting a rewatch asap.

Michael was great. We got a nice Michael/Jim/Dwight scene, Michael/Pam, solo stuff.....everything you need. Michael had his goodbye, and it was pretty excellent if I recall correctly.

Jesus Christ. Deleting a show from a DVR does not qualify as a surreal experience.

Here's a surreal experience: Terrorists flying airplanes into skyscrapers.

I thought it was sentimental. Maybe it's because I'm just going through some shit right now but I think it was lovely.

I teared up for sure.

And honestly, this episode was made for the fans... I guess I understand why people are posting in here saying it was terrible but I just kind of laugh that they wasted there time watching this shit then. And then have the audacity to say it was terrible. Pretty much owning up to the fact that they really don't know how to enjoy their time.

I really liked the last few minutes, especially having the characters reflecting on their lives and to finally go after what/what they have always wanted in life. Cliche, and yet that's exactly what happened in all those earlier seasons. Pam's self-doubts, Jim's pains, etc.

And of course I am especially attached because there is a co-worker I have some feelings for, but stil...

Aww, just watched it on my DVR. That was nice. I hadn't really seen more than a couple episodes per season for the last two or three years, but I read a little season 9 recap first. But anyway, that was a nice finale. I didn't think I could feel sentimental over that, but I do.

haven't posted in an office thread in years but man, what a great finale. . .really enjoyed it.

also, the asian woman that asks the question during the panel is the creator of the original office fan club that campaigned for the show back in the beginning, so it was nice of them to feature her. they did a story on her when she was an extra in that company picnic episode a few years back.

I thought the last 5 minutes
when they all discussed what they thought with the show was really touching. Seeing Michael there was also great (would have loved to see him at the afterparty with Michael too). Loved seeing Ryan/Kelly, and even Carol, the real-estate agent. Surprised, we didn't get a last moment with Jan or something.

Didn't love introducing Angela's sister (why did she need to be there?). Overall, a solid episode. I didn't enjoy that they made Pam seem bad with regards to having Jim quit his dream job but the last 5-7 minutes were utterly perfect for the show. Kinda sad that its over. Sure, the last few seasons weren't great, but the first five were awesome.

It was a great finale. Michael's place in it was done perfectly; enough to make every line he had emotional as hell, but not too much that he over shadowed the rest.

Man, hard to believe we won't be seeing these characters week after week anymore. Even at its worst, it was still something I came back to week to week. Ah well, season 2 and 3 will still be two of my favorite seasons of any show ever.

If you delete the episode, don't describe it as surreal. :p

Finale was overacted out the ass. But I appreciated the cramming.

I didn't cry, so minus 2, but I'd give the finale a 7.5.

It's probably near the best they could have done with what they had. So good job :_)

Meh. Not as attached to the characters anymore so the finale didn't really hit me at all as it could have years ago. Michael Scott was actually well done.

Wtf at Ryan abandoning the baby though. Even for this show that was dumb.

Also no Gabe at all or anything with the Scranton strangler. So disappointing.

Loved every season and watched every episode. A bit sad that it is over and it feels surreal that I won't be seeing this cast together ever again. SURREAL.

The Scranton strangler plot was already resolved when Toby went to see him in prison.
