HELP! Re: nuka cola quest

where is the robotic foreman in the nuka cola factory?

EDIT: Found him! It! Whew. GAF is magical, everytime I post or think of posting, voila, answer get.

Is there a list of side quests and how to trigger them somewhere?

I'm starting to run out of things to do and I don't want to move the story forward yet. I have "shoot them in the head" and "replicated man" and Survival Guide active and I'm already at the citadel.

I've completed Blood Ties, Tennpenny Tower, Reilly's Rangers, Stealing Independence and Those!.

EDIT: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_3_quests

That's about everything from what i can tell.

I just dropped a bunch of Vault security helmets on the ground when first entering Megaton, they were still there at the end-game. Seems like items stay forever (at least on PC).

NPCs too. The Raiders I killed back in Springvale School 60 in-game hours ago are still there, severed limbs and all. It's strangely eerie, and serves as a reminder that what you do in the game is permanent.

So I just got stuck in the geometry again while exploring in a building with debris around the desks. This is like the 12th time its happened and you cant fast travel inside and theres no way to get loose. I FIND THIS ABSOLUTELY FUCKING INFURIATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This happened to me a bunch of times as well. :(

I save really often now. I have like 10 save slots. Just in case something goes wrong. :lol

Check the list again. I count six quests you haven't done. You didn't even mention the first two on the side quest list.

The raiders outside of the school seem to respawn though. At least they did for me.

Is it just me or does it seem like there's not as many quests as Fallout 1 or 2? I could be glorifying the past, however.

Nah, there's definitely less quests. I think it goes with there being a heck of a lot more work to set up the quests in F3. It's a little disappointing, since most of the towns outside of Megaton feel a bit thin, and usually have 1-2 major quests, and that's it.

Can you own both the house in Megaton and Tenpenny tower? I read in a Fallout 3 wiki that if you
help the ghouls invade the tower in the Tenpenny Tower quest that Roy willlet you live there
. Is this true? I can't get a clear answer.
I don't think so.
Maybe something got bugged with my quest. I helped roy get in and mopped up the citizens. Don't recall getting an exp bonus or whatever afterwards but I could have normal conversation with Roy.

However I have to say I sandman killed most of the residents before letting Roy and his good-time buddies in (including mr tenpenny). Whenever I go to the room you can own and open the door it says "the room is too dangerous to enter" or something like that. Roy seemed happy about the situation, but I wasn't so I shot him in the face with the combat shotgun and proceded to kill every ugly ass ghoul in the tower.

I have over 30 I would say. But you know how it goes... you enter a new building and get caught up in your OCD exploration of every corner, computer, box, file cabinet and suit case.

45mins later, stuck on debris while jumping on a desk like a dick with no save to salvage the last 45mins of thoroughness. :(

Whoops!

So I'm 10 hours in and I'm doing some side quests at the moment. I haven't read any guide so I just went with what skills I thought sounded cool and stuff that goes well with being a bad ass dude. I chose some big weapons, small weapons, repairing, sneak and lock picking. So far i'm actually alright despite being almost allover the place with the skills. Here's a question though, is it worth it to put more points into sneaking? I have 64 points in it now and I still get caught sneaking around quite often :(?

If you are PC, I'm pretty sure someone mentioned typing tcl in the console will give you a no-clip mode and you can get unstuck. If you're on 360, sorry :(

I had that issue too. The problem with sneaking is that even though you are crouched, you are still running so your sneak breaks a LOT. Either get the perk that allows sneaking while running or walk when crouched (I think it's left shift or left control on PC). Once I started doing that, it was sneak attacks all over the place and I didn't feel so bad for getting 80 sneak skill.

Are there any good strategies for keeping Dogmeat alive? I like having him around for keeping wasteland critters at bay but he is dumb as shit when it comes to Supermutants or Raiders with heavy guns. I am trying to walk from Megaton to the Robo factory and can't seem to make it without loosing him to a missile or minigun. If I tell him to go back to Vault 101 and he dies on the way – sigh – I miss my dog from Fable 2.

Is he as useless as it seems? Should I lock him up in my apartment in Megaton and forget about him?

Is it worth buying that robot that that dude sells? He's near tenpenny tower, I finally got my karma back to neutral so I have the option to buy him. I dont know if I want to spend 1000 caps since dogmeat died so fast on me.

Finally got my power armor, now I just need the fatman.

edit---haha man Dogmeat died for me in some huge battle against 4 super mutants, 1 centaur, 3 defenders, and one super mutant brute. I think it was the brute that did him in...I was like RIP dogmeat...but I got awesome loot from that fight.

How do I get my own place in Megaton? I think I read somewhere that it has something to do with the Sheriff, but he's long been dead. Is there a key lying around somewhere?

If you took the good karma option, you have to
disarm the bomb then talk to his son. Your explosive skill needs to be level 25 in order to disarm it
.

Bomb spoilers:
If you defuse the atomic bomb, his son gives you the key to a shack.

Oh crap, I had my first unreadable disc error on my 360 while playing Fallout 3 today. I hope my console isn't about to die on me!

Mentats will boost your skill a few points too, at least temporarily.

But idk how you scrubs can put up with that shithole in megaton, the tenpenny suite is so much nicer.

I love how things happen to you when your jut wandering the wastelands.

Not really a spoiler but just in case you want to have everything fresh. It isn't even a quest.
A woman ran up to me begging for help, raiders strapped a bomb to her and started chasing her. I tried defusing it but, err, I didn't have high enough skills so she was blown to pieces. A few seconds later the raiders caught up to me and I killed them. It felt like something that would happen in Mad Max.

I found those little shits
James
and
C.J.
after they ran away from Rivet Town, returned them, but everyone's still looking for them and I don't get any dialogue options telling security that they're back. Even
James' mom
doesn't seem to care.

Is this a glitch?

I have this sinking feeling mine is about to die soon as well. My 3 year RROD death coverage is up on the 23rd of November so I am sure it will happen sometime after that...

I get those all the time. They...don't mean the console is dying do they?

Might as well force it to RRoD so you get a new one.

I don't know. I never had one before though and I got my 360 back when Gears 1 was released, so almost 2 years ago.

I heard my dvd drive making really weird noises and then I got the error. I was picking a lock in some building when it happened.

I just hope I'll be able to finish Fallout before it dies. :lol

Goddamnit that Reilly's Rangers quest is the most boring POS thing in this game so far. Ugh.

You get a whole lot of ammo + caps + geomapping thing that gives you caps for every location discovered.

Boring quest = awesome loot

"The robots are in the junkyard if you're wondering." Where are the robots?! NOWHERE! I got so fed up that I just pulled out my flamer and burned them all up.

Same here :/

Actually that was useful as I taked that as "Please I am an idiot and should be slaved" so I slaved Red and gain access to paradise falls.

I don't recall getting any of that; when I finished up, I got the ranger armor, which was good in its own right but nothing like a money spewing geomapper.

I just did it. Bring a shit load of ammo with you, but you get either some really nice armor or a really nice mini-gun at the end. I also decided to make their compound my home base, since it has a bed, plenty of storage, a repair guy, and a doc that will heal you for free.

It's not a time-bound quest, btw. I don't think there really are any in the game.

There are less quests and those "towns" are much much smaller. I don't mind that though, some of these side quests are more interesting than whole guild quest lines in Oblivion.

I'm totally and hopelessly lost in Vault
106
.

I've made the rounds, explored everywhere I can, I've seen all the little effects, but I'm now lost. I made the error of closing the vault behind me, now I'm frantically looking for the way out. I can't see any control panels to access, the door itself says "controlled from elsewhere" or something similar when I try to use it. I've scoured the place, found the science bobblehead, but no keys to help me deal with the locked doors (oh, joy, I had run out of lockpicks a while back). Where are the elusive keys, where can I go, and what can I do to get out?

Save me!

I got 800something caps right off the bat and I had like 15 hours of gameplay in at that point, I need to go back to check in on them.

You also get a choice of the Ranger armor or a special minigun. The ranger armor is the best I've found so far, it's like 24 damage resistance, a few bonuses, and weighs as much as any other raider/talon guard stuff.

I'm interested, but with all the fall releases I'm going to pass and grab it next year for $20-30. I think what pushed me over the edge was Fable II getting really good reviews so if I grab one wrpg this year it'll be that (plus I like pretty graphics and Fable II is much more impressive looking ^^;).

Fable 2 may look better in screenshots but in motion Fallout 3 is much more impressive imo.

It makes fable look like a kiddie game.

I got 3,000 caps from the Ranger quest, which put me at 12,000 caps. I also took the armor, it's so much better than the power armors. Walking around and exploring is incredibly fun in this game.

Gotta talk with o'reilly after the end of the mission about what they are doing now and offer to help :D

Nah, it's a nice place with plenty of large corridors and big rooms. Perfect to make some stealh critical one hit kill with a good condition rifle.

Why would I use power armor when the ranger armor gives me only 1 less DR?

Because it looks awesome? I have played all the game with the megaton sheriff outfit + glasses. So badass.

You mean you're locked in the room or can't find the way out of the Vault? I had a similar problem in the same spot but I was simply missing the exit door...the map sucks in the game if the place you are exploring has multiple levels.
