I've been pondering the weapons and how they work, systems-wise.
There seems to be more going on than just the DMG number. I also seem to get criticals more often with certain weapons. The oh so lovely Railway Rifle, for example, lists damage in the high twenties, a good ten points lower than the Combat Shotgun. And yet the Railway Rifle brings down almost everything I see in two shots, with one of the two usually being a critical. It's become my go-to weapon though the stats don't explain why. The same goes with that Dart Gun. It rocks the leg criticals on a very regular basis but the other body parts, not so much.
Anyone got any insight?
Oh, I also finished my list of junk components worth collecting and the weapons they make. Helpful in separating the good junk and the junk junk.
