Diseased Yak said:Finished the DLC last night. I really liked it, it was a welcome change to how the rest of the game goes (i.e. - more shooting, less exploring). The locations looked good, and the rewards are pretty bad ass, especially for my melee/stealth-based character.
For those that have finished it, question:After entering the armory vault at the end, did all of the Outcast soldiers go batshit insane and start shooting at you and the lady who goes into the vault with you? I have no idea what triggered that, I just walked into the armory and started grabbing my rewards, next thing I know they are shooting up the place, killing the Sibley lady who goes in with ya. I even reloaded my last save to see if it happened again, and sure enough it did. Just wondering if that happened to anyone else.
BeeDog said:If youIt's scripted to happen like that.open the armory door, but stand around the other Outcasts, you'll hear a discussion between their leader and that angry sidekick. The sidekick + all the other unnamed Outcasts will become traitors, and will try to get you, the lil' lady and the Outcast leader killed.

Stoney Mason said:Okay I'm doing the mission where you had to take a package to somebody and you found out "The Family" has killed them and taken the boy. So now I'm looking for them but I've gone to all the places they mentioned and haven't run across them. The Outdoor Cinema, A train station, and a hideout. In the hideout there is a prison gate that requires a key that I can't seem to find so I'm not sure if that is just some bonus thing or where they are hiding although I doubt it.
So what obvious thing am I missing on where to find the family? I'd be happy with a clue just to set me on the right track.

Archaix said:In the train station, there are two ghouls who are making drugs. Off to the side of their lab area is a room that has high radiation and a hubcap in the floor, that should get you on the way.
Stoney Mason said:That's what I thought but I went down there and I went through the whole tunnel but nobody was down there except for some traps. I came out on the other end to meet another group of ghouls. Did I somehow just miss them? There were a bunch of traps down there but I never saw anybody. I guess I'll just backtrack and see if I missed them.

OXM's podcast recently uncovered a priceless gem of information for all Fallout 3 and achievement fans worldwide. Todd Howard, Fallout 3's Executive Producer stated that Fallout 3 will hit the 1350 mark after the March DLC pack titled "Broken Steel".
Howard states "the second one is going to have 4 more achievements worth 100 points, and the third one, right now, is going to have 6, worth 150 points." Howard continues to mention that it might not stop there, "350 points ... assuming these are the only ones we do."
Oooohh Bethesda, you do love to tease us. Not only does the DLC have plenty of points, but there may be more to come? It makes me smile inside ... and outside actually.
Oh, and if you do listen to the podcast ... good listen by the way, ignore OXM's Ryan when he states that Fallout 3 will be the biggest points haul on Live for any one title. Pah, has he heard of Halo 3? *jaw drops*
Kestastrophe said:Regarding Operation Anchorage on PC version of Fallout 3: It only works on one profile. Despite paying the full 10 space bux for the dlc, the kosher/shitty way through GFWL, my wife seems unable to access the content with her Live profile. Anybody else having this problem and/or have a solution?
Mooreberg said:Anyway, while I was in that subway area I found some key, opened a safe with naughty nightwear in it, and a guy named "Lugnut" came running into the room and demanded it. :lol I've got a good speech skill so I convinced him to let me keep it. It's amazing the amount of random shit that pops up in the game, and the amount of stuff you can encounter even beyond the side missions. Is the holotape that talks about delivering a "package" referring to the nightwear or something else?

Looks like Fallout 3 will be the next game to break the 1250 achievement mark with 1350 in total with the 3 announced DLCs so far. Hints at the possibility of additional DLC beyond that.
voltron said:edit, in other news I just found my 30th Nuka Cola Quantum for the NKCChallenge! (I didnt get the quest until I have played over 100hrs drinking every Quantum I came across, so they were pretty short in my world:lol )

Man, that fucking blows. It really does.
So, if I were to continue playing my current character for the next couple of months, is there anything I could do to either (i) continue improving the character without further leveling, and/or (ii) "save" the XP I earn so that it can be put toward the 20-30 leveling, when the patch goes live?
Re (i), I know that I can read books and collect bobbleheads (both of which I have done fairly little of). Anything else?
Man, I feel so conflicted. I'm so sad. Haha.

ALaz502 said:You could find some rare armors/weapons. That's what I did after I leveled up to 20. I have almost all of them.
TruthJunky said:Why in the fuck is the level cap so low in Fallout 3? I don't fucking understand. In Oblivion, I think I played the game for about 60 hours and never stopped improving/leveling. Fuck.

Tobor said:They made a miscalculation on how it would effect the audience. They've already admitted as much and stated they'll never do it again.
TruthJunky said:Oh, interesting. I've not been "keeping up" on the game, post-release. Is there a particular interview I should read?
So, did they think that people would enjoy playing through the game in 25-30 hours, and then starting again, basically?
My current character has been level 20 for awhile and I've done tons of quests after.. so I wouldn't mind to get all that experience once the cap is raised.TruthJunky said:Oh, interesting. I've not been "keeping up" on the game, post-release. Is there a particular interview I should read?
