Mothership Zeta trailer is up.

I take back my prior trolling of this DLC pack. It looks amazing.

Holy shit holy shit holy shit! That looks awesome and amazing! I wouldn't mind a complete game in this setting, to the fact that it's such a small part makes it even better! Love the typical stereotype alien stuff with saucers and green men and cows, but so much more grittier and in the fallout style :lol

Is there any word on a big pack with all of the DLC in one?

I haven't bought any of the DLC yet and I was wondering if there was much point buying a few individually if there was a pack with all of them in coming out.

Fallout 3 doesn't care about PS3 owners...

Finished all of Point Lookout today (fucking loved it) so I decided I'd go back to Pittsburgh to get the rest of the Ingots. I need to get around ~5 more, but I can't find them to save my life. Any tips for where a few more might be well hidden?

Thanks, but I'm really not in the mood for going through all 100 Ingot areas again. :(

I was just hoping there'd be an area that had a few Ingots that was commonly hard to find. :P

Yeah I need to do the same thing, I have to finish Point Outlook and go back and get the Ingots but I just don't feel like doing it at the moment.

Yeah I just started downloading it because I found a link for it on the australian store but thanks for the link it's appreciated :)

I look forward to playing this eventually.

ok it seems to dissapeared from the marketplace
on the xbox at least

Yeah I haven't seen it on the xbox itself yet but It's up at least on the website which is how I think most have us downloaded it from.

This depresses me so much.

Ok, just really playing this game for the first time. Bethesda gave me a copy when it first came out and I just never really sat down with it. It's much better looking than I expected, but I'm getting wacked pretty bad out in the wastes on the looking for my father quest.

Don't do the main quest. Head over to Megaton and start enjoying one of the best games this generation, the way it's meant to be played.

So, what's the deal with the mod scene for this? I've looked and it's huge, as expected, but filtering the good from the bad is a pain.

Much like modding Morrowind and Oblivion, anyone want to point me the direction of the best mods? I liked Fallout 3, but was ultimately disappointed, and ended up playing it much more like an action/adventure game, just running around blowing stuff up and exploring.

What mods would be the best picks for adding more variety and depth to the game?

Anyone else suffering from some pretty bad frame rate drops since downloading Zeta?

I know the FR wasn't exactly stable before but it's much worse now, it took 3 seconds to open the pip boy.

:/

Hey can we get some impressions on Mothership Zeta or what?

I haven't put that much of time into Mothership Zeta but so far it's interesting and the new weapons that you get such as the Alien Atomizer and Alien Disintegrator or even the Shock Baton are pretty cool and overall I would say it's pretty difficult probably on par with Point Lookout.

I am enjoying it so far but like I said I haven't put much time into it yet thought so far, I would say if you enjoy fallout that you will like this.

It's all feeling a lot like Anchorage so far, linear path (to be expected, but they could have allowed for more exploring, but there's still a possibility the ship will open up a little later), a few decent pick ups and wave upon wave of aliens & service bots.

One really funny thing I noticed, the aliens sound a lot like those from Mars Attacks. :lol

basically

fallout wanderers edition (will make the game HARD)
martigens monster mod
and soon to be again FOOK (its currently old and busted, new version in the works)

I just bought this game on Saturday and I've already sunk 10 hours into it. Actually I did own the PC version but for some reason I could never play it for more than an hour and when I tried to get back into it, my disc got mysteriously scratched up. But yeah, I'm really digging the characters and how the side quests seem just as meaty as the main quest and VATS is awesome as always. Love the overworld and how dangerous everything feels.

Awesome dude, thanks. FOOK sounds fantastic but if it's that broken I wont bother. I'll probably even wait until FOOK is in its latest version before I dig in. The more changes the better. Oblivion is rubbish to me unless I mod the crap out of it, so I was looking for similar stuff for Fallout 3.

The Wanderers kit sounds great.

It's a shame MS are complete and utter cunts, so annoying that I can't just buy the exact points I need rather than having to buy more than I want.

So, Mothership Zeta's due RSN, and so I'm starting to plan my sojourn into the DLC. I've only recently finished Fallout 3, played it to the end of Blood Ties shortly after completion and only came back to it very recently, and then played the thing to death. I'll be taking a break before I actually carry out this plan, though, partially for the sake of my housemate's sanity.

I'm planning to get all the DLC - yes, I know Operation Anchorage isn't as good as the rest, but I'm loath to leave the set incomplete - but I'm trying to work out how best to actually get it for the best final play experience - firstly I'll need to formally re-finish the game (After I completed it, I went back to a save at the end of
Vault 87
for running around for achievements), then after that play through them in order - but I'm not sure about the influence each DLC package has on the whole; I'm dimly aware that Broken Steel, for instance, adds
Super Mutant Overlords
all through the normal questing areas.

My current plan, then, is:
1. Purchase Broken Steel. However, do not 'finish' the game yet; stick with that save in
Vault 87
. Hopefully this'll up the level cap even if I've not yet finished the game in that save (can people confirm?)
2. Purchase Operation Anchorage & The Pitt (I suspect if I shop around I can get the disc version for less than the download cost, unless there's a reason to avoid that version of the DLC?); play them.
3. Complete the main quest and play through Broken Steel. I assume you can play on after the end of Broken Steel? (If not, Bethesda are buffoons!)
4. Play through Point Lookout and Mothership Zeta.

Are there any major flaws with this battleplan that I ought to be aware of?

If you could do all the DLC over again, how would you play it?

You should get Broken Steel right away, and I would get Anchorage/Pitt ASAP after that. It's as if Fallout 3 shipped incomplete, and Broken Steel fixed it. Anchorage is a good opportunity to get some nice gear early on. I play a stealthy character, so the Chinese Stealth armor was my main motivation. The Gauss rifle is also very awesome, and useful on the Super Mutant Overlords, which are pretty tough. It's not great, but it's a fun little diversion if you just want to grind up and shoot things a bit. It's also a refreshing change of scenery, I really enjoyed the environments. I have yet to play the Pitt or Point Lookout, but I'm shooting to pick up the loose ends from the original game before I move on right now.

At the moment I'm stuck on Mothership Zeta as I need to somehow activate an elevator, but no matter how hard I look I can't find how to turn it on. =\

Not liking it as much as the other DLC, if I'm honest. Shooting at aliens isn't half as cool as wandering a desolate ruin. Much less focus on story and characters, too, which is the strongest element of the game for me.

Just finished it. It was really kind of a let down after Point Lookout, shooting aliens got old real quick. The end part was kinda neat but meh, not really worth the $10 unless you're a Fallout 3 completionist.

I just bought this, downloading at the moment.

I was in the middle of whatever part of Brotherhood of Steel. I'm in the
Presidental Metro
boy is that shit a bitch :lol

I seriously hope this isnt their last DLC for Fallout 3.

Because its not a great way to end what is considered an awesome DLC compilation...

...they really cant end it like this man. :(
