Though the 360/PC versions don't seem to be really better in this regard. If you look e.g. at the fallout wiki site, the list of bugs covers all systems and sometimes the bugs are the same for all 3 versions.
Though I think the PS3 version is the one with the performance problems in the addon areas. (plus: imo because of the live-data-streaming-installation instead of a common installation there can be additional performance issues).
IIRC one of the 360 addons wasn't even payable at its release?
I mean, I can accept some minor bugs etc. in this game (in contrast to your standard linear 8h action-game with less scripts combinations active etc.), but some of the occuring stuff and especially the lockups in the addons were just too much and easily ruined the experience sometimes. I kinda wonder how something like this can pass the QA of Sony&MS but other games sometimes don't.
btw. the G.O.A.T bug was there from the start:
"Occasionally just before the G.O.A.T when Mr Brotch tells Butch to "keep his eyes to himself" and Butch laughs, the dialogue will stop here and you cannot leave your seat (confirmed PC, PS3 and 360). This glitch only occurs when you sit in the second row seat on the right side of the classroom. "
Also happened to me when I bought the game at launch, but I though something that common (story quest) and probably easy to fix (known cause) would have fixed by now with one of the patches?
