Hopefully the new week brings some real news so we have something interesting to discuss.
''All of our code and infrastructure are in this room,'' says Bungie community lead Brian Jarrard, part of whose job it is to mix it up with the fans and take nosy journalists around the facility. He points out a heavy door in the rear of the studio where a clunky device actually scans your palm in order to permit entry. ''Only, like, three guys in the building have access. Seems a little like overkill to me but in a cool, James Bond kind of way.''

Their all marked as EW exclusives. *shrug* Yeah, I think the architecture we've seen so far is really interesting.Mr Vociferous said:![]()
Voi?
Looks nothing like that nowadays, but I suppose half a millennium might be long enough to make it happen.
It looks very, incredibly, unflinchingly bad ass - as do the rest of those images. I think we've seen them before, but this water pump station/dock is new to me.

I wonder if they're going Mad World style or fast cuts of cool gameplay mixed with cutscene footage (like the Halo 2 commercials)Subarushian said:So...uh... where's the TV commercials with actual game play? Shouldn't the hype train be leaving the station?
Where's our epic trailer?

Contrast, sharpness, etc?
Can't wait to use that Halo calibrator to set up my 42" 1080p Sharp Aquos. Its looking pretty damn fine now, but with something to actually tune it to I know it can only get better looking.Stinkles said:Basically a kind of Halo-themed, easy-to-understand ISF-style calibration. No accessing factory menus, but everything else besides. There will also be the option to buy and use a blue calibration filter for realy advanced settings. We're just trying to figure out a way to make that thing as cheap as possible. Bungie Store shipping charges are a monster we can't tame.
The audio component is very straightforward test tones - but again, it's Halo-themed.
So the calibration is all done within game menus? You don't have to access the TVs built in setting.Stinkles said:Basically a kind of Halo-themed, easy-to-understand ISF-style calibration. Awesome! This is what I wanted! Bless you Bungie!Stinkles said:Yes, you do have to use your HDTV's menu. The calibration will be good for ALL your games and movies, not just Halo 3.
But don't worry. Sgt. Johnson will make it real easy.
I'm leaning towards ODST too.Trasher said:What armor types will everyone be using? I think I'm going to go for the ODST style.
ha, that sounds awesome. does sgt. johnson really walk you through it?Stinkles said:Yes, you do have to use your HDTV's menu. The calibration will be good for ALL your games and movies, not just Halo 3.

Thermite said:I know for a fact that I'll be using the Close Quarters Combat helmet, but I'm not sure what the rest of my armor will look like. Depending on what the selection is like by the time I decide to play multiplayer, I'll probably spend around thirty minutes just tweaking my armor.![]()
Nope, cause you don't like it.XSamu said:So I'm wondering a bit about which game I should focus on (multiplayer), Halo 3 or CoD4. I don't actually really like Halo tbh, but everyone's gonna play it, including my friends. Now the multiplayer isn't bad (nor is it special), and I never really played Halo 2, so I'm not good at it. I'm actually quite good at CoD2, but none of my friends is gonna buy CoD4 (stupid bitches :/), so would it be wise to even start with the Halo 3 MP?

If that doesn't take you right to "Five minutes of Fun" then click the one 3rd from the right.
Starts like the E3 07 trailer. 2:45 in.
Well Halo 3 has a lot more Multiplayer options than Halo 2...XSamu said:So I'm wondering a bit about which game I should focus on (multiplayer), Halo 3 or CoD4.
