Holy Shit is forge going to be fun. If it were not for the fact that it is 1:21AM, my head would have just exploded.

They switched to rockets when it was discovered that the rocket will spin out of control like a failed NASA launch, complete with corkscrewing contrail.

I didn't think this before but now more than ever I'm thinking GOTY.

Well you just blew mine :lolstinkles said:Baseball. In Forge. With Gravity Hammers, rocket launcher weirdness, and real, functioning bases. The pitcher is the guy with the rocket launcher. Rockets can be hit out of the park.
BASEBALL.
In Forge.
I think Will Tuttle invented it. I can't be sure because my mind was so blown.
The wait just got even worserakka said:Well you just blew mine :lol
Can't wait.
Forge has gone from a feature I was marginally interested in to on part with Campaign co-op over the past couple of weeks. A tool for serious map designs and absurd delights.Stinkles said:Actually, they tried it with a mongoose first, off the mancannons instead of being thrown by a pitcher. Worked great.

By now I've learned that most of the usability stuff you can come up with, Bungie has implemented or thought about but it didn't work. Probably a result of all the testing they do. With most other games it's always a case of "how the fuck could they forget that?", with Bungie it's "damn, I can't believe they thought about that!"Du2andal said:Does anyone know if you can attach some type of description to gametypes when you upload them? This is true. I assume the rest were saved for the bonus disks. There are two short behind the scenes videos at the Comcast site, though, and they are quite good. Not on par with the vidocs, as they don't have the timing or narrative threads that run through those, but some good stuff in there none the less.Blueblur1 said:This reminds me... We never got another VIDoc.![]()
Yeah, it was confirmed. A title and description for each.Sean said:You can provide a description to saved films so I'm pretty sure it would be the same with Forge.

If they're like the maps, then yes those players could not load the content. I'm guessing the DLC that is not free will have a similar distribution as the two map packs - charge at first, free later so that the community is not split for long.Scarecrow said:So, what happens if Bungie releases some priced DLC for something like Forge, and some people don't want to buy it? Will they not be able to play with their friends who have downloaded the content?
IF they want to release DLC for forge AND want to ask money for it, I'd imagine they'll release them along with maps and the objects will be tied to that map. (similar to how you can't use the Elephant on certain maps) it would limit the value of said maps.Scarecrow said:So, what happens if Bungie releases some priced DLC for something like Forge, and some people don't want to buy it? But then again, Crackdown has a cool feature where you can play with the DLC if the other player has it, as a way of sampling what it has to offer. So who knows.
I know. I keep up with GAF as much as possible. Thank you though.GhaleonEB said:This is true. I assume the rest were saved for the bonus disks. The "exclusive" videos on the bottom. The first on the left is about Halo 2, but the other two next to it are what I'm talking about. (I mention this in case you or others haven't seen them. Good stuff.)
I figured, I just thought some others who missed the couple of pages of discussion when those went could use a reminder. It takes the sting out of no new vidocs, just a little.Blueblur1 said:I know. I keep up with GAF as much as possible. Thank you though.
I'M ALREADY SPENDING $129.99 PLUS TAX YOU JACKHOLE!Scarecrow said:So, what happens if Bungie releases some priced DLC for something like Forge, and some people don't want to buy it? Will they not be able to play with their friends who have downloaded the content?
According to the full PR (in the OP, Articles) it's the first in a series of online "testimonial" videos. The actual ad debuts on TV on Sunday, during a football game. After that, additional testimonial videos like this one will appear online and on Marketplace.voltron said:Can someone clear something up for me? ... I thought the ad that we saw last night was only a teaser of a longer version? But from what Ive seen today and on mktplace it seems like that was the actual thing?
Can any one confirm this? I thought the full ad was to be unveiled on Friday at Yahoo Games?

I'm a simple man. Falling down tube after tube to walk up to a door and it open to a hellish landscape infested with Flood vermin as 100,000 Years War scrolls up at the bottom rocks me every time.Scullibundo said:So what are everybody's favourite chapter titles?
Mine would have to be from HALO, just after you rescue Keyes aboard the Truth and Reconciliation:
