Yup. I HATE the veto. Sadly objective game-types have become VERY unpopular.

It's Slayer or bust for the majority, it seems.

BRs are all over the place. And they respawn quickly.
 
using the innovative forge creation system(tm) i have improved standoff so that when you spawn outside for some reason even though there's a warthog pulling rampages all over the place you aren't left defenseless with a stupid assualt rifle:

I actually like the new pistol. It's great to embarrass people with it. :D ...but I've always disliked Standoff because of the warthogs but that map with just Br's is a lot of fun.

There are four per side. And they respawn every 30s, if I'm not much mistaken.

If you spawn outside the base, the chance of you getting to a BR before dying is slim. If everyone spawns inside the base, you'll have to wait at least 2 minutes for everyone to pick up a usable weapon. By which time the other team should have set up on your rocks, and have a warthog (or two!) ready to get someone a Running Riot. Fun times!
 
Man, for a second I thought that video was going to be our greatest posts, and I was getting all ready to act all modest about having more awesome posts featured in the video than anyone else. So disappointing. :(

Why do you not spawn with an AR and a BR? Can someone give me a logical explanation?

Bungie refuses to give up on the AR just like they refuse to give up on Snowbound and Epitaph. Give it a year and it'll be BR starts.
 
Damnit after nearly a month of trying and having 3 40s(Team Slayer 44, Lone Wolf 44, Doubles 43) I FINALLY made it to 45 in Lone Wolfs.

Words can't express how satisfied to see those 3 stars turn into wings..!

Why spawn with a BR at all times? Why stop there. Spawn with a Sniper Rifle and a BR, or maybe better yet, a BR and Mauler, since that's what everybody is closing to grab as their faithful secondary weapon.

Bungie refuses to give up on the AR just like they refuse to give up on Snowbound and Epitaph. Give it a year and it'll be BR starts.

Epitaph lies with the Prowler, Flare, Deployable cover, Radar Jammer, and a few other items or weapons that Bungie has in the game but doesn't insist on using them.

... We didn't see anybody for the next 8 minutes. They spent 8 minutes camping the tunnels, hoping we would go down there. As far as we were concerned, we grabbed overshield and snipe whenever it appeared, and stayed up top. The game could've ended 2-0 for all we cared. Near the end they realized that they were in danger of losing 2-0 so they came out, and managed to jack our ghost and make things close. We still won in the end.

The fact that we were playing against two alts made it even more satisfying.

Hey, did you guys know that this thread got to 600 pages in about a month, and took 4 months to get the next 100 pages? It's sped up since then, what with changes and map packz. Neat.

See, I thought it was a great job. I normally don't get too riled up during Halo, but there was quite a lot of screaming and fist-pumping from me and my buddy when we edged them out in the end.

I wholeheartedly accept your e-hug.

Just popped in Halo 3 for the first time today. Ever have one of those days where you game for 12h straight? That's me...today.

Great game!

The Flood are a real PITA.

I hope you didn't take my comment wrong. Actually, I love women with light skin and black hair. If I am behaving good, my wife will change her hair color to black. That's the one reason why I always notice your avatars.

On topic (sort of): Does anybody here owns Halo 2 for PC? I've been considering the purchase for a while, but the fact that its just impulsive and the game is still at $50 in stores always stops me.

When do you guys play? I feel left out. Me and my room-mate are getting back into Halo. It's really depressing betting lower ranked people by 20 kills.
 
I recently picked up Halo 3 online again and what is up with the teamkills!?

I played several matches and several times I plicked up a sword/sniper or whatever good item some teammate teamkilled me and took it?! I am about level 20 in team slayer and I still rise in the ranks pretty quickly.

Since I often play by myself I turn off the voices (because most [american] Halo 3 players are frankly, annoying to listen to). I guess they could be screaming to me not to pick up the sniper before or whatever, but teamkills?!

While this is certainly true, at any given time there are way more Americans online in Halo 3 than any other specific nationality, so its just a numbers game. You are just bound to run into more American assholes than British/French/Dutch/Australian etc etc assholes. I just use the A-hole button for all assholes. I'm not picky :D Thanks Bungie!!
