In your opinion. IMO the "Believe in a Hero" add is perfect. I have watched it many times already. However, it might be too much for people who are too attached to the story. My little bother got really depressed and now he thinks that MC dies.

i've been gone for quite a while, so maybe i missed ghal's other posts on the topic stating thats how he feels, but, if i'm not mistaken, that response he made was to my question of what did i miss. in other words, i took it to mean that that was a heated topic in this thread when the ads hit, and not (necessarily) his opinion

Well, I gotta say I'm pretty surprised. Only 11 days from Halo 3 launching and we still don't have any spoilers out and about. I've been looking too.

For Halo 2 the info about the Arbiter came out several weeks before it was available.

Unless he's from Japan, the power isn't the same as North America, it'd fry his box. He needs an expensive converter.

I know because I moved to Australia for 2 years and brought my original Xbox with me. I had to buy a converter that was $200
Buying a new Xbox in Australia was an option, but then I'd have game compatibility issues. It was a tough decision though.

Count me in "I don't like last two Halo 3 ads" camp. Seriously, does MS really think that showing this kind of ads just before two weeks from release will help boost Halo 3 sales?

At this point only ads out there should be with actual gameplay showing all new features of Halo 3 with awesome soundtrack. Halo 3 looks really good in motion. I think that might cause somebody to change his/her mind and order it now. And no CG ad at this point please.

I agree totally, I like the ad's, but I'd rather see a really good cut in-engine trailer, like Halo 2's commercial!

I finished Halo 2 today. Let's just say I'm glad the final part will be here in a week, so I won't have to chew on that 'ending' for too long. The first half of the campaign was certainly more memorable than the latter imo, apart from the inclusion of the Brutes. That level you had to take them on with the Arbiter was badass.

oh and I hope for no Flood in 3

I think the scale of the diorama in the ads is simply amazing. To me, the only disappointing thing is that the scale of the game most likely won't live up to the scale in the diorama. A scene like that in the video game would be simply incredible. 10 more days...
