Awesome. And just one final question, I have my credit card on my account, obviously, and I also redeemed a gift card. If I buy something on my touch now it'll be smart enough to take the price off the balance of the giftcard and not my credit card right?
Yeah I'm pretty sure that's the way it works.

Cool, time to start buying. If you buy something on your touch is it tied to that touch then where if I get a new touch I can't add games I bought on it since I can only redownload for free through the device itself?

Ya know I've been playing my iphone more than my Xbox recently...
Me too.

They're not tied to the same touch and you can redownload through iTunes. Just go to the app's page and click like you're buying it again, and a message will come up saying you already own it and you can download it again..

Ya, it wasn't giving the message that I bought it already so I wasn't sure but apparently I forgot to authenticated my account on this computer. I've got it working now. :)

So what's everybody's verdict on De Blob? I never tried the Wii version. Is the iPhone one worth the money?

If you can get it for $4 or below, then go for it. not a bad little game. you can use your finger or the tilt to control, so that helps. so far, Ive had it for a couple of months, and still havent deleted from the touch yet, so that might be a good sign. :D

It's reduced to $4 right now, so it's it definitely worth it? It looks really cool from the screenshots I've seen so far.

I didn't like it nearly as much as I thought I would. It's not nearly as fun as painting the buildings on the Wii. The tilt controls are frustrating, but you can use touch controls.

Yeah, I don't really like it that much, either, but my other half seems to love it. First thing she does when she gets her hand on my phone is load up De Blob. :-/

Women, eh?

Monospace is pretty awesome.

It's like Bionic Commando Rearmed's Hacking Minigame mixed with Super Paper Mario/Crush. The artstyle is pretty cool. I'm enjoying it quite a bit. Good for short bursts.

is Rolando the best Iphone game? And is there a gamerankings for iphone games? thx
It's within the top 10 or top 5 for most people. It's probably the most traditional handheld game you will find on the iphone that is on par presentation and polish wise with something on an psp or ds while still utilizing the unique nature of the iphone.

Not aware of any gamerankings style site. I mean there are a bunch of sites that review iphone games but I'm not aware of a compilation style site.

Seems nobody has picked up on the iPhone release of Fantastic Contraption!

Get it now while it's at introductory price too. As a mahoosive fan on the flash version, this is definitely a worthy port. They've developed a good system that zooms in on what you are doing removing any frustration, and all the flash features are in. Yes, that means saving and uploading contraptions and levels as well as downloading and creating others. Wowsauce!

Go buy :D

I posted it the other day. And yes it's totally awesome.

I hope the 1upYours finale gives WordJong some added sales. Easily one of my favorite iPhone games ever.
Since you keep pimping it I'll give it a purchase ;)

Hey guys, the Lite version of our new game "Shift" just went up on the App Store. It's a puzzle game where you slide tiles around to get them to goal positions. I would appreciate feedback on the puzzle design; I've been a professional games programmer for seven years now but I am only now starting design (and finding it to be really, really fun).

iTMS link here: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=302769022&mt=8

All programming / puzzle design by me, art and visual design by my buddy Tim, music by his buddy Jim.

Neat game. You give a lot of content in the lite version which is nice. Relaxing and simple concept.

I also recommend WordJong. Of all the word scramble games on iPhone, this one is the most fun that I've played. I don't lose out to wierd spellings of unconventional words. Also, relatively high production values and good challenge factor in beating the high scores.

Got Monospace last night. Very cool, simple style to it.

Bit on Flight Stunts too. It's pretty impressive, but needs a ton of work...the controls aren't sensitive enough, there's no mission marker arrows or anything to guide you and the collision detection is a tad sketchy. Very promising, but wait for an update before spending your $3.

Snail Mail is a pretty fun "racer". Solid controls, frame rate. I was satisfied for $2

ROYGBIV is a $1 app that's pretty addictive. Some frame rate issues but nothing major.

Some decent free apps I've run into this month: MonsterTyper, BigBang (Bejewelled clone), Space Deadbeef, Topple.

Still have to play Hydro Tilt and Touch Physics some more. I can't believe I bought almost 20 games in a week for this thing :/

hows the sound track, is it the same as the youtube video in that link?

Non-existant.

Depends on your definition of best. It's the one with the highest production values. Ooozes quality. But in all honesty, I had more fun with Fieldrunners and Wurdle. Diff'rent strokes n all that.

I'm addicted to updating apps... I constantly check for new updates and when I see them I get really excited and wanna read directly what they do. Its almost at the point of where I get apps just for updates :lol

avoid that shitty online-only bomberman clone. Not worth it even at 99c

Hero of Sparta is ugly, shallow, and has horrible sound: don't understand the hype

Rolando is fucking tops, as well as Field Runners - but everyone knows this

Also everyone buy Passage!!! If you at all care about games as an art form you must support this awesome game, and its only 99c! And fuck everyone who doesn't.

The iphone has replaced all my other mobile gaming devices in the course of a month. If more games come out on the level of field runners and rolando, my life is over.

Haha, wow.

Lock N Roll looks cool and I like free. Will get tonight.

Done. I've had it for a while, just so I can show people. So good.

needs to be bumped. Checked this game out and not only is it really fun but i was surprised to find that its FREE!?!?

I know, it's better then a few of the priced games I've bought.
(discussing TRACE).

Hero of Sparta is indeed cack.

I read the reviews for Passage. FUCK Passage. Sounds like a joke app.

Big update for Strategery just went up. As if I couldn't stop playing this game before...

Code:
* Automatic border-fortification bonus army placement
* Fully manual bonus army placement
* Random turn order (optional)
* "Winner keeps all" battle mode
* "Land grab" game type
* Win/loss record, filterable by map size
* Illustrated gameplay tutorial
* Improved map evaluation screen. Just shake to refresh!
* Options are now accessible from home screen
* "Brutal" difficulty is slightly less ... brutal
* Small UI enhancements
* Bug fixes
* Performance improvements

It got a price hike to $1.99 but is still absolutely worth it. This patch covers nearly everything I could've wanted.

(Oh, and glad you guys like Lock & Roll, since a friend of mine made it - if you have any feedback, let me know and I'll pass it on to him.)

Holy cow, I had no idea Passage was on iTunes. So bought, just read a great article about Rohrer and what better way to try it then by giving a little to the man.

To take this further, my wife and I both have itouches and when I buy something, after syncing, it gets added to both of our touches. Cool stuff...

I know I'm late, but I remember someone asking how you can view powerpoints on your iPhone/iPod touch. This is not the best method or anything, but it a way. You can send yourself a powerpoint document to your email address that you access on your iPhone. Access the email account using your iPhone and download the file by clicking on the attachment. Now, even when you disconnect from the internet, you can go back to your email and view the powerpoint. It's not the best solution by any means, but it works.

I was just playing around with it and I was surprised I could open my .ppt attachment.
