Go to the itunes store and click "Account" in the Quick Links nav then "purchase history" under there in the middle of the page. It gives you everything.

Rise of Lost Empires, an RTS/RPG, is out now ($5.99)

Are either of them any fun?

Just picked up The Creeps!

Definitely worth 99 cents. Very solid, polished TD game. I like destroying environments for cash, and also like that upgrades are instantaneous.

Just downloaded Real Tennis 2009 after several positive hands-ons and previews seemed to indicate that it would be the definitive tennis game for the platform. First impressions to follow.

iPhone tech questions:

1) I want to sync my games, contacts, email, settings, and videos from a PC while syncing my music and ringtones from a Mac. Is this possible?

2) I have a jailbroken iPhone. Since I couldn't get a solution for question 1, I used SFTP to put ringtones in /Library/Ringtones/. Worked fine. The problem is they show up in the default ringtones section rather than the Custom Ringtones section. I would like to keep both sections as clean as possible. Is there a database file I should be editing to keep the separation between the two?

So the good news is Gameloft is apparently porting GTA Chinatown Wars to the iPhone.

The bad news is the "violence and profanity will be altered."

Apple dislike gore and drugs to expect those two things removed, but the guns and shooting will or should be fully in tact, even running over people in vehicles. It's the red blood apple dislike.

Cool though, expect that to be another full priced app but it deserves it.

I'd love to hear some impressions on Rise of Lost Empires. The game looks pretty cool.

Yeah, but if you've ever played CW, a big part of the game is the drug dealing minigame. I can't see it making its way to the iPhone without the drugs being turned into candy or some such shit.

I can't wait to see how well GTA does on the app store. With that kind of name recognition, it should be huge.

Think I'm gonna buy Vanguard Storm today. Feeling like I got my money's worth from Geo Defense, need something new.

Hey, all - just wanted to let you know that the 1.1 update to Taxiball was just submitted to Apple.

Includes TWO new levels - NASBall and HungryBall - NASBall's a really simple, easy-to-complete level you can finish in about two minutes - it's meant more as a score challenge for anyone other than a brand-new player. HungryBall... well, that's a mystery.

It also lets people without a WiFi connection of any sort play! Sorry for the trouble, but it'll be fixed as soon as Apple says go!

Also streamlines the tutorial and fixes a bug where the sound settings wouldn't get saved between games.

Questions, comments, feedback, shouting, whatever, always welcome!
Thanks!

ooh, minigore looks cool. i'm trying mafia wars app to compare to the facebook app. i feel like the facebook app is forcing me to spam my friends too much with gifts.

Real Racing is just outstanding. Hats off to Firemint. Great job. The game controls like a dream and is great fun, and I've only just scratched the surface of the game. More than worth the $9.99.

Wow. The quality of apps has really shot up of recent. The bar is being raised but the store economy is still in trouble. Can games of 'Real Racing' quality really be only a few bucks?

I tried it. Was psyched about the aesthetic, but I *hated* the controls. Being insulted by the game while grappling with the controls literally adds insult to figurative injury. Not a great time, and enough, for a dollar game, to make me not want to play it anymore.

I bought Rise of Lost Empires the other day. It's actually not that bad. Might be a pain to control if you have big thumbs like mine, but other that that, I've had fun playing it.

Cool, looks like I will be skipping that then.

I picked up Clue, by EA. It's surprisingly pretty good. O_O

Stone Loops of Jurassica is pretty fun for $1. Glad I bought it. Simple gameplay, sort of an interesting approach to the "line up 3 colored things" genre.

Holy shit, Real Racing is AMAZING. Everything is just so polished, and it's the first game from the App Store where I felt like I didn't do everything within 5 minutes. Best quality game so far in the store, bar none.

Star Defense from ngmoco is a good idea, but I'm not sure that I like the execution. I don't know.. I think I just don't like this type of tower defense game.

Anything on sale for wwdc today?

Download a free app called PandoraBox. It allows you to keep tabs on the app store. You can choose between viewing new apps, or new price changes. Within there, you can choose between free or paid apps. Within there, you can choose to toggle any category.

So every morning I've been getting up, checking "new price changes -> games only", and checking both the free and paid sections to make sure I'm not missing out on any sales or giveaways!

Thanks for the tip on PandoraBox.

Also, I like your avatar!

The coolest part for me is that unlike the paid or free versions of App Sniper, you can filter which category you follow so, for me, I ONLY want to know about new game apps.

thanks for saving me a buck, I'll try the demo if/when it comes out...

The game's got stellar production values - and my biggest problem may simply be that the "inertia-based" nature of it makes it frustrating. If you like Asteroids, it's DEFINITELY worth checking out - but play with the Basic controls, not the Advanced stuff. Honestly, I have no idea why they're even calling the two 'Basic' and 'Advanced' - it's more like, 'Acceptable' and 'Ridiculous'.

I really want to like it, and will keep trying - I'll let you know whether I give up, or it wins me over... :D

I'm getting the iPhone 3GS next week and am definitely going to be checking out tons of games. Can anyone list a Top 10 or 20 must have iPhone games? I know there's a list or two from Google but I'd prefer Gaf's opinion, this thread is super long to scan through.

That looks like so much fun. I love the art style...odd choice of music in the trailer.

It's an older game, but I recommend Enigmo. I don't like to play action games on my iPhone (controls are usually aaargh) but I do enjoy puzzle games -- if that's the case with you then Enigmo would be a good game.

Check out a review here: http://www.appvee.com/t/enigmo

Wow, that PandoraBox app is cool. I'll definitely be firing that up every few days.

Right after praising I find it acting squirrely this morning. I guess all of it's functions require you to access its servers but if they're down do to maintenance or some error, the program won't let you do anything even if you have Wi-Fi access. What do you expect for free, eh?

Pinball Dreams, Zen Bound, Heavy Mach, Monster Pinball, Westbang, Amateur Surgeon.

I'd put Pinball Dreams and Zen Bound in a class of their own. They feel like high-end portable games to me, even though PD is really just an improved port of an Amiga game.

I cannot wait for Iphone 3G S to get perfect 60FPS out of vertical mode in Pinball Dreams, (and their future pinball games of course)
