Finally brought star defense, very good game and I love the presentation and the rotating maps. Also has a nice pace where I can actually think about placements now and again instead of huge constant rushes of mobs where you rely on speed.

About time I made a plus+ account too, same name as here.

My current record in minigore is 2978 points. I have only played it 3 times though, but it's so damn fun! :D

Also, I just checked and there are over 2500 people in the rankings, and the game has been out for just a couple days, right? Damn, the guys who made this game (which probably didn't take that long to do, seeing how it's quite simple) just made over $2000 in a couple days... I want! :P

I would add you on Open Feint but as far as I know you can't unless they're from a network. Do you have a Twitter linked to your Open Feint?

My highest score is 3842 on expert. I really want to get it higher.

gomi gameplay looks good but the art style is a huge turn off for me... feels like an interactive sub MS Paint job.

Agreed. It almost intrigues me enough to look past that, but not quite. I'm gonna have to hear some impressions from people about this. Time to hire an artist...or find a third starving college student willing to work for pizza. Just adding some shading or smooth gradients to give the apears of a third dimension would help. Skipping the primary colors might be nice too.

But of course, it's easy to be a critic. Not trying to knock their work on the game. I just expect more. Eliss is a game that's also pretty damn ugly. And also needs some love from a creative person. Eliss is fantastic though. Gomi may be as well.

hey pilon, do you mean all the challenges or the campaign? I've only done the campaign and a few of the challenges.

Vending Machine is a cute little game, great for when you just want a short burst of gaming, makes a good companion to Amateur Surgeon which is more involved for when you've got more time.

is Flight of the Amazon Queen gud?
I have it - pretty much a perfect port, now with a direct touch control as an option (its kinda weird because it has floating rectangle above your finger, but it works fine), and 'classic' control option that works just like Monkey Island: SE. Graphics are identical as the original, no upgrades, and so are the voices (basically, they left the original, badly compressed voices)

Music Catch. Free Game

Essentially the flash game. Sadly it would be a really awesome game if apple allowed beat generation from the music like the flash game does but alas it wasn't meant to be. Still neat for only 4 songs and its free so view it as a demo of what could have been.

Cool, but yea, it'd be awesome if it could use song data. The flash game is great fun.

Just came in to post that my app has been submitted! I'll post a link once approved and I'll try to give out some free codes if I can figure out how.

Promo codes are always a good thing. Congrats on the submission!

So this is my mega list of games that I've played for the iphone in order from Should absolutely buy to avoid at all costs. Will update as I buy more/ try more of course.

Not a big fan of this list, because of my five favorite games (Real Racing, Up There, Zombieville USA, Peggle and StoneLoops!)

You didn't mention StoneLoops! or Real Racing, which is fine. They are both awesome games you should try out though, if you haven't already.

Good spot for Peggle :D

But I disagree with you on Up There and Zombieville. Up There, in my opinion is an amazingly fun pick up and play game with great music and awesome art. Probably my favorite game.

Zombieville is a really fun game too, it is a shame you don't like it that much (I think anyway) but I find it to be a really enjoyable game.

Oh and I LOVE Star Defense :lol

I've had Go Go Rescue Squad for a long time and played a bit of it, but I'm now playing it through. This is a really cool game, it's super unique and charming. A lot of the puzzles drive me nuts and then it just hits you. Very nice.

What the hell is this Edge game, I can't seem to find it?

Oh and anyone who hasn't already bought Secret of Monkey Island needs to turn in their GOD DAMN GAMER CARD.

It's a platformer/puzzler, where you roll a cube around an isometric-perspective set of square arenas. It was removed from the US appstore due to trademark infringement with Tim Langdell who owns the word 'Edge'.

It's available on some other international stores. It is awesome.

It was pulled from the App Store months ago. I'm not really sure why he mentioned it (looking at the above post now...I can see why. Only pulled from the US store :( ).

It's a game where you play a cube, that rolls end over end on to one of it's sides for movement. It's controlled from an isometric camera and anywhere you place your finger (or you can use tilt) becomes the joystick so to speak. I guess it's a puzzle game of sorts, where you try to find the best path through the 3 dimensional maze complete with moving platforms, steps, triggers, and the odd breakable or disappearing and reappearing platforms that you pass over as quick as you can while picking up little colorful cubes that are placed sparingly throughout.

If I had to compare it to one game off the top of my head, I'd say it's kind of like Crush, but without the ability to move the camera or switch to 3D..or jump. I want to say it's a level based platform-puzzler but...no jumping.

Bah...took the time to try to explain it...and of course there's a YouTube vid

Looks like Minigore already cracked the top 20. Good, I take it to mean this will actually give the devs an incentive to quickly develop more content. :D

I'm up to over 12 hours played in Isotope.
I played for so long today that I forgot I was playing it on the device I use to make phone calls.
I managed to power level one of the million dollar to max which allowed to me to try out of ALL of the satelites and play with 4 abilities. It's about as cool as I imagined.
My next goal is to max level the supposed best ship in the game and actually finish all of the campaign levels.
This game would probably be pretty cool with some achievements for this stuff.

Here are my impressions on the games I've downloaded since the last time I posted impressions:

• TaxiBall Free: Fun and creative. The background music is cool. My only complaint is that the ball won't always pick up passengers when I roll into them.
• StarRide Lite: At first I couldn't figure out what to do (no instructions? wtf!), but then I got it. Reminded me of that free game Winter Bells or Snow Bells or whatever it's called.
• Jungle Bloxx Free: Fun little physics game.
• Pyramid Bloxx Free: At first I expected it to be like Jungle Bloxx, but then I was surprised when I found it was different. I think I like Jungle Bloxx better.
• Galcon Lite: Easy mode is easy. Fun though.
• 30 and Dirty Lite: Probably the most GAF-like of all the GAF-made games.
• Azkend Lite: An interesting take on the matching genre with an interesting setting.
• Montezuma Lite: I can't even remember it's proper name, much less what the game was like. It must have been too generic to make an impression.
• Trism Lite: I had played Triangle Twisters in Mario Party DS recently, so I was still stuck in that mindset. The controls made me mess up a few times.
• Stoneloops of Jurassica Lite: I like how the color of your ball shows up to the sides of your finger to make up for the fact that your fingers is covering the ball you're actually shooting.
• Critter Crunch Lite: Took me a bit to get the controls, but it was okay once I did.
• Samurai Puzzle Battle Lite: At first, I was impressed by the amount of depth it looked like it had, but then I gave up on it after it didn't save my game after I quit once. With maps so long, you'd think it would let you save.
• Gemmed! Lite: Cool twist on the genre. I still don't always get how to get the monsters to move how I want them to.
• Drop7 Lite: Really cool new puzzle idea. Makes me think.
• Star Hogs Lite: Good artillery game. Took me a bit to figure out how to get out of the shop.
• Pocket Tanks Free: Wait, so I can't actually kill the other tank? wtf!
• iShoot Lite: Kind of over the top, but it gives it a cool personality.
• California Gold Rush Free: Wait, so this is a type of genre? Why haven't I played this type of game before?
• I Dig It Lite: I like its style better than California Gold Rush, but I prefer California Gold Rush's controls.
• Knights Onrush Lite: Like Defend Your Castle, except with good graphics.
• Vanguard Storm Lite: I'm not sure what it is, but something about it just feels weird being on the iPod Touch. Maybe it's just that it's a Square Enix game. Still, it's an interesting idea.
• Geo-Defense Lite: Oooh, shiny sparkly effects! Pretty.
• Reign of Swords Free: The interface is kind of hard to get used to, but I like this type of game. Reminds me of The Battle For Wesnoth, except with a square grid.
• Reign of Swords Episode 2 Free: I got into this one easier than the first one.
• Strategery: Simple but cool take on Risk.
• Crystal Defenders Lite: Like Vanguard Storm, it just feels weird to be on this platform, even though it makes perfect sense for it. The music, while catchy, doesn't loop properly.
• Crazy Penguin Catapult Lite: Interesting and funny idea. Plays better with music, because sometimes the rhythm is helpful.
• Crazy Penguin Catapult 2 Free: Not too different from the first one.
• Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords Free: First time I've really played this game on any platform. Proof that combining anything with an RPG makes it better. It sucks though that the game crashed on me both times I've played it so far. I hope they release an update to fix it.
• Ragdoll Blaster Lite: Sure has a lot of levels for a Lite version.

Wow, I'm glad I quickly bought Edge when I heard about the disgusting copyright bullshit. Good game, too bad it's being held back by such garbage.

Also, the new space invaders... it's been said before, but yes, this game is very good. Highly recommend.
