cant wait to pre-load L4D2!

Tired of trying Expert with randoms just to fail hard on the Finale. Was only able to get the win on No Mercy until now.

man, playing with randoms on expert is a test of patience thats for sure. it can be so hard to finish a finale.

in contrast, i hopped on for my first full game in a while with Red and a few others and we beat BH expert with ease. it was a joy.

D1, Blizz and Fall, feel free to hit me up if you need a body.

ive been thinking the same thing lately. i think ill set steam to start when i boot up my PC.

That spawn point needs to be changed, the tank can get to the rescue area before it the boat stops. You shouldn't have to kill the tank or rely on propane tanks just to escape.

Bulleta captured a vid of myself, herself, Mutfox, and Captain EO on the Death Toll Finale on Expert. We were doing a L4D2 style gauntlet, where we would start the event, run back to near the start, and then run back to the dock only when the second Tank was dead. There were a lot of close calls, and overall it was pretty damn exciting.

Smoker+Tank tag-teaming me and bringing me closer to the boat was kind of cool.

We need to try Expert gauntlet finales on all the other campaigns. Sure, none of them have as long a run from the start as Death Toll, but it'd be a challenge all the same.

Because it is unfair if one team gets that spawn and the other doesn't. The others finales don't really have a problem like this.

BH can have it on rare occasions; I was the Tank that incapped the 3 in the rescue vehicle while the 4th got smoked, and I saw it again the other day on a match Vert/PK did.

DA could work too, there are those ground-level areas under the starting boarding tube.

Spawn points are fine. Just make sure to hang around the dock when second tank dies, then watch for a smoker and you'll be fine.

EDIT: Kinda strange that fraps actually knocks my framerate down to 30fps when recording...unless I dont have it set right for L4D.

There should be an FPS option in fraps that sets your framerate.

Word is that us Europeans are getting l4d2 3 days later than NA, which sucks as i play predominantly with NA players as part of a group. One of them has suggested gifting me the game if the dates stay the same, but could this work? Will the game activate at all?

Any help would be really appreciated

If you buy it through Steam it usually activates on the same day.

thanks mate, i had heard some rumours that certain games were censored when gifted, and the censoring was done on activation or something like that, i thought if that could be true then it would be easy for them to see its been activated by an eu person and thus prevent it from being played till scheduled release

With bootcamp do you mean? Its playable, but the precision with the finger pad takes a bit of time to get used to.

I do, and I play with a decent spread of about 7 or so others, so just hit us up on steam if you want to join in, or I can toss out an invite when we play. We usually play at night though, so in a couple hours from now usually.

So i've been playing the shit out of this on my brother's computer. I'm usually not into multiplayer games but i'm hooked. I haven't had that much fun in a multiplayer game since the bf-2 demo. I remember there was a glitch yesterday where 4 tanks appeared on the hospital roof, me and my team decided to retreat to the safe room at the beggining only to find 10 witches in it :lol :lol :lol
So gaf, i already finished most of the levels, but i'm still craving for more.
Should i buy it or wait for the sequel (i like the urban aspect of the first one more)?

I replaced both, pretty sure they're different and that the game randomly decides which one will play when a Tank appears, so if you want it to play always the same one, you'll have to replace both.

I do wish that there was the possibility for more than one tank or witch per chapter. It would really up the ante. Keep in mind that I play primarily on the 360 so I don't get any fancy CEVO configs or anything.

Hopefully, in L4D2 Valve allows a lot of those settings to be set up by the lobby leader prior to the game.

No he means that an admin or more specifically, the dude on the other team who was probably running the server turned cheats on and spawned tanks & witches. What you experienced was not a glitch, it was cheating.

needs to be .wav but if you have winamp, you can record it as .wav in winamp options, under plugins, output, and select nullsoft diskwriter.

I have actually run into multiple tanks/witches per chapter in the longer chapters. Well, multiple as in 2, but still. In campaign mode on expert it seems like you can get more than 1 tank/witch in the longer maps for campaigns, or if you get a tank at the start.

I think it has to be .wav, use Audacity to convert if you need. It's fairly easy to use and free.
I also had to raise the volume a tiny bit so I could hear the music, Audacity let's you do that too.
