They could still have bigger variety among at least assault rifles/submachineguns and shotguns. Just include a sawed-off, a P90 or some other kind of SMG, etc.

I decided to start a single player game, join the spectators and watch the AI play through the first map on expert. (without jumping in as infacted) Pretty fascinating too watch with all the voice lines and how the AI acts.

But Zoey didn't make it.

Will be interesting to see how they handle the subway with tanks and witches.

So was I the only one impressed by the survivor AI? Looks like Valve used what they learned from Alyx in Episode two

Trax, as of now the only thing the demo has is matchmaking, so all you really could do is search for other people to play co-op with. I believe when the full game is out they will add the standard Valve server list legitly, but I don't believe they will ever take out matchmaking. So yeah, have fun.

I know for a fucking fact that these people wouldn't have cared if I went down like the rest of them. They even kicked me while I was reviving them. Based on some of the experiences I'm having with people on this demo, I'd say this community has a shot at being the most immature yet. Unbelievable.

So I was playing with some people in the subway (expert), and we get attacked by a tank. He owned me and another guy while the other two ran all the way back to the starting room so he will lose track of them and go away. They get out of the room, greeted by a hunter, smoker and a boomer, they play smart and manage to kill them but 5 seconds later a huge wave of zombies rush them and take them down. They got what they deserved for running away.

Yesterday someone died so I was calling this other teammate of mine to come and get the dead guy's healthpack. The dead guy was getting so pissed because i was supposedly "wasting time". The next round, he shot me in the safe room (at the beginning of the level) and then because of this I shot him down too. But some fucking reason the rest of the people voted me off the server...

I played a little single player yesterday, and I was honestly not at all impressed. The game was making me sick, and it felt like another first person shooter, albeit with more enemies. (Which was a plus, but not enough to justify a purchase.)

So this afternoon my buddy (the one from earlier in the thread,) lets me know that he managed to get a code, and we played for about an hour.

It's strange, but playing with even one other person, it feels like a totally different game. We were shouting warnings and congrats to each other, even occasionally giving props to our two computer-controlled allies. (Zoey was key in our first run. She single-handedly kept both of us alive.)

THIS is a game I would buy.

This is going to sound crazy, but, how hard do you think doing a handgun only run on expert would be? I think I'm going to try that shit. Of course, I'm going to use the dual guns, but, I wonder if it's going to be like the hardest thing ever. If you use the rooftop skip, you can bypass a lot of ground and pick up the dual handguns asap, since they usually spawn right in that area. The hard part would be getting to the subway and through that. I'm not sure of any time saving skips to use to get there.

I've had more fun with this demo than just about everything else I have played recently. :lol

I want to play L4D as soons as possible but I have right now a pretty crappy computer and I doubt that it'll run L4D. However it runs TF2 nicely, since you say that L4D runs better than TF2 I'm thinking about playing L4D in this computer.

What CPU are you running and what settings?

Sorry it took so long to reply, didn't check the thread for a while. My computer's a single core Athlon64, 1gig DDR1, and a 6800GS. So if you've got that or higher L4D should play just fine.

If you have a fast trigger finger, dual handguns are basically just like a machine gun. Just use the reload while shoving enemies away trick and it should actually be possible (Save for a Tank, if you come across one).

Pretty much, aiming for the head helps too. Crouch + pistols is nice as well, decently accurate.

Just thought I post my latest experience on expert. This was unusual because I was going downstairs through the building and I heard scratching. All of a sudden the whole wall fell and out of no where a room full of zombies starting attacking me :lol Keep in mind this was on the 360 version also so the map wasn't modified

the chainsaw comment earlier was pretty enlightening, i still saying wait for the portal mod.
the demo really doesnt have many set pieces. When we finally get to experience a set piece i bet this game will shine more than ever. This demo is all about get from a to b. we haven't seen any Defend, or assault type set pieces, or even an escort mission if your doing well survivor spawn locations become escort people. even with LBP this might be my GOTY over MGS4.

I use the gun/dual gun most of the time, I only switch to the shotgun if we get overwhelmed because I don't want to be an asshole and let team members die because of me.
