Ok so today I began my xbox 360 by playing some Hexic. After that I began playing Madden 06 offline. While playing I used my ipod in the usb drive while chatting with a friend over the live headset. So after playing 2 games. And getting ready to save. My xbox 360 freezes...ok. I turn it off, wait a few minutes then power it back on. I attempt to pop in Madden 06 when I get the "Please insert disc into an Xbox 360 console." Then it hits me...GAMEFAQS has been posting about "Madden killed my xbox!" Oh oh...
I pop in Condemned. Same message. Perfect dark. Same message.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I'm letting everything cool down (2 games wtf) power supply is out in the open along with my 360. xbox is cooled but the supply is a bit warm.

Note:My 360 is standing tall.

Down. I'm not sure if any overheating problems are due to the console standing on end, but there are quite a few vents on the bottom end it stands upright on. Couldn't hurt to try it the other way.

I've had mine laying flat and it's been on sometimes for 12 hours straight w/o a problem.

Not nearly as many, though. There are two thin strips of vents on the underside while the right side on the console (the end you stand it upright on) is one big vent, basically. I just went and held my hand next to the right side, you can feel the air coming out pretty significantly.

I am having a weird issue with my 360. Twice now, when I have turned it on, nothing appears on screen. The unit itself is powering up, but no video signal is going to the TV. Has this happened to anyone else?

Make sure the VGA cord that plugs into your xbox is securely snapped in. The first day I bought it, kinda did the same thing. The connection was a bit loose so it wasn't displaying anything. Might want to check that out.
